"The property was well built and everything worked as it should. The poolside garden was well maintained with mature shrubs and trees which meant there was always areas of shade to be found which was very handy with little children. The shutters made it very easy to keep the house cool. The property was in a residential area and was very peaceful at night. We’ve been coming to Crete every year for the last twenty years and the villa was definitely one of the best we’ve stayed in. "

"We were a family party ages ranging from 2 years to 84 years. The villa was great for all of us from swimming pool, jacuzzi outdoor pizza oven to the air conditioning and lift, we couldn't fault it. "This home is immaculately maintained by a family that will host you as if you were their family too. It is spacious and you will find everything you would ever want or need in your own home. The pool is huge and the grounds and gardens are so beautifully maintained that you will think you are in paradise. There is a private beach you can swim at also. You cannot ask for a better, more inviting home to have your family reunion or get together at!!!"

"The map on here isn’t right, but the villa is actually incredibly easy to find. Brand new, really high spec there was more than enough room for the 5 of us. There is a supermarket literally a minute away, but bakeries, tavernas etc in the village. Pool was great, along with all the outside area. Wifi fast for the kids and the kitchen has everything you need and more. We’ve stayed locally before and would definitely stay here again, it’s super easy to drive down to the Old Town when required and there is enough locallly if nobody wants to drive! Recommended "

"We had a wonderful week in Villa Myrtia. The villa is situated in the middle of a small village with bakery, pizza restaurant and grocery stores just a short walk away. The drive to Rethymno is about 10 minutes and we went there a few times in the week. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in Rethymno with some superb fish restaurants on the harbour. The villa was cleaned throughout including fresh towels and sheets twice during our 10 day stay which was much appreciated. George and his family were very welcoming and were on call when we needed them.We would recommend the villa for a family as all of us had a great time."

"Joanna is a very welcoming and incredibly helpful host. Our flight was delayed and we had problems with our hire car booking with Europcar - they wouldnt allow us to move it to the following day, so we had to cancel or incur the full cost as a no- show fee.I texted Joanna from Manchester airport asking for taxi and car hire recommendations. Within 20mins Joanna had arranged a minibus to pick us up from the airport at midnight and a hire car to be delivered to the villa the next day.When we arrived at the villa, Joanna had also left some food in the fridge for us.The villa was beautiful, very clean and had stunning views. We had a fabulous holiday - thank you Joanna. "

"The accommodation is generally as expected: clean and tidy, with a good location. A small point of attention: the batteries in the TV and air conditioning remote controls were empty and there were no spares available, so we had to swap them back and forth each time."
