"I arrived on a Monday but was disappointed to learn the restaurant was shut. Had to drive back into Düren for food. Germany doesn't seem to like Mondays! Hotel is good, if not slightly tired, but very clean and I slept well. My Monday evening disappointment was short lived following a very welcoming and wonderful breakfast. Very nice staff."

"Leider nicht zu empfehlen Die Außenanlage wirkt ungepflegt & vermittelt einen wenig einladenden Eindruck. Auch im Inneren zeigt sich ein veralteter Zustand – zwar grundsätzlich funktional, aber längst nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Was uns jedoch auf dem Weg ins Zimmer und im Zimmer selbst erwartete, kann man nur als Renovierungs-Fail bezeichnen: Flur: Unsachgemäß verlegte Fliesen und hochstehende Teppichkanten stellen eine deutliche Stolpergefahr dar. Zimmer: Der Zustand war schlichtweg...

"Roomy, clean, cosy and quiet appartment with a fresh breakfast every morning. What else can anyone wish for. Well situated, with ampel parking and within an hour drive from Koln a place well worth to come back for."

"Convenient to get to Merode. Unfortunately we stayed the night there was a large group also staying and there was a lot of noise. We were also mostly unable to use the kitchen because the group that was staying kind of took it over. Parking and access was a bit tricky, as another guest had parked in two spots, so we had to find a place a few blocks away. The keypad for the door was a bit sensitive. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable."

"De locatie van het hotel is prachtig gelegen aan de Rursee, met een groot buitenterras. Als je in het laagseizoen gaat is het heel rustig en is de omgeving perfect geschikt voor mooie wandelingen. Het hotel zelf voelt in de kamers ietwat gedateerd aan, maar het is wel allemaal schoon en alles werkt naar behoren. Het zelfbedieningsrestaurant is goed, maar ook niet meer dan dat. "Everybody should know that you have to read the little text of the booking carefully before coming to this hotel. They don´t speak other than germany and we did not manage to get anybody answering the phone. They require photo of you ID and of the credit card before coming even if you have paid the room in advance. Only then you get the code for the entrance and to your room.
