Elevator was so slow we always took stairs, bar was so slow you usually wait 3-5 minutes before being acknowledged to be seated. Lots of guests in line left. Not acceptable service. The breakfast was OK and again very slow service"

"Loved the location across from the cathedral. Very walkable, with the tram stations within 5 minutes and the train station in 8 minutes. Grocery store and mall across the street. Staff were the best. Lots of amenities available. Breakfast was at the cafe below, so coffee and pastry tray at tables beneath the cathedral, watching people go by. Great gelato place on the same block. There is a tiny two-person elevator for those who can’t do stairs. "

"The Hotel Gounod is in the perfect location to stay in Nice. The beach is a few short blocks away, the train station is also a few blocks away in the opposite direction. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Old Nice is close as well. This hotel is beautiful. It is a small hotel (like a boutique hotel) but the guest rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely appointed. Loved that we could use the pool/jacuzzi and rooftop bar at the hotel next door as well!"
