She negotiated prices with the vendors so that we weren’t overcharged. She also made sure we had transportation arranged to and from the airport. "Maison Abaka is an oasis in a chaotic city. It has a lovely location, right on the beach, overlooking Mgor Island. It also has some very nice decks with chairs around a tiny pool and overlooking the sea. The rooms were good, with all that one needs to be happy. They are not luxurious but they are comfortable and clean with good showers and decent air con. The hotel is tucked down a dirt lane (with lots of garbage) in a residential area full of people... so it can be a bit noisy sometimes. That...

"I absolutely enjoyed my stay at La Madrague! I had a sea view room, which was amazing as I went to sleep and woke up to the sounds of the ocean. The hotel itself is right on the beach, which is great as you have the choice of their pool and the earth natural pool. My room was comfortable and airy; and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly. I’ll be back in Dakar soon and I’ll stay at this hotel again for sure. "

"I really enjoyed my stay mostly because of the view from the rooom,great food and very friendly staff. The layout of the hotel doesn't make you feel crowded. You can take a boat to Gore Island ,which 5 min away where there are other restaurants on the sea and a cleaner beach. The airport I 10 min away, so no time lost in traffic. Though the beach water is dirty,I wouldn't swimsuit many others did. Go to the island for a swim"
