"Bring a outlet adaptor if you are coming from the us or UK. Bus to Dublin is a 45 min tram ride. There is no Internet in the room."
The Lucan Spa Hotel

"Lovely well kept property. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the bar was excellent and well priced. Breakfast was part self service and part the served you. My room was perfect for a solo traveller and was very clean. The location is a little out of the main centre but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel for inward journey and another one about 5 minutes walk to go into Dublin. The journey takes about 35 to 50 minutes depending on the route the bus takes. Lucan village is a pretty place and worth the short walk to see. Although the hotel is next to a busy dual carriageway I heard no traffic from my room and I had my window open at night."

"Buffet breakfast was very good. Very family friendly. Great spa treatments and pool and exercise room was great. The pool and hot tub were complemented by sauna and steam room. You can even pour a bucket of water on yourself! Highly recommend this property."

"This was a nice escape from the traditional hotels. We wanted to stay outside the city to start our tour of the western part of Ireland. Please note that this is an old manor (built in 1700s per staff) that has been converted to rooms. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are rustic. We loved it and enjoyed the experience. We were provided fans as we were on the second floor and it was warmer than usual. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. There is a horse on-site and you feel removed from all the hustle of the city and town. A short drive away there are multiple options for shopping and meals. We had dinner at Arthur’s, which is where Guinness was first served. We had the breakfast at the manor, which was very good. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. A real hidden gem. "
