"Rooms were clean and comfortable, with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was decent. It’s only a 2 story building, so there is no elevator. Not a problem for me, but make sure to get 1st floor if that’s an issue"

"Stay away!!! Had 2 rooms booked and paid for a month and a half in advance, when I got there, I was told the motel had been sold at the beginning of the month. No rooms were available without a confirmation number. I have stayed here before and not needed one. I could not find the number (I'm old and couldn't navigate the email on my phone). The man at the front desk was being very unreasonable, after 30 minutes we decided we had to go to another place to get a room. Most of the hotels/motels were all sold out because of Penn State graduation. I will never stay in this motel again..."

The home was clean and well appointed, and Mary Beth is an exceptional host.We spent a day at Prince Gallitzin State Park, known for its expansive landscapes and well-maintained trails, the park provided the perfect backdrop for hiking. We look forward to returning to do some more hiking and fishing at Glendale Lake. We would highly recommend Shady Pines."

"Just as described. We came to fish as a couple and brought the dogs. Accepting dogs is a big plus for us, and the yard was perfect. Full of bushes to sniff and flower beds getting ready for spring bloom. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Tucked into the side of the mountain. The inside is updated and seems to continue to be updated. There's plenty of space for friends and family. The kitchen offers many dishes and utensils. Could use a few pans for the oven or a bigger frying pan. But other than that we had everything we needed an more. Appliances, central air, hot water, and water preasure work great. The keyless entree check in worked just as it should have."
