About this property
Roosters Coop - Wine Country at a Rustic, Lodge Style Retreat with Hot Tub & Pool
Perched atop Parrett Mountain, Roosters Coop Retreat is a luxurious 4500 square foot lodge style escape set on 26 private acres in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, the property features an equestrian arena, ponds, gardens, and friendly farm animals, offering guests a true ranch style experience while remaining just a short drive from local wineries, charming towns, and some of the valley's most loved restaurants and tasting rooms. Portland and Salem are also within easy reach for day trips.
Inside, the spacious layout is designed for gathering and relaxation. A large gourmet kitchen with updated appliances, generous counter space, and place settings for twelve flows naturally into the living area and formal dining room, creating the perfect setting for shared meals and conversation. The living room features rich leather seating, a grand wood burning fireplace, and large windows that frame views of the beautifully maintained grounds. Throughout the home you will find handcrafted furnishings collected during the owners' travels through Montana and Southern Oregon. The main level primary suite offers a king bed, elegant furnishings, and private patio access where you can relax beneath the stars. The en suite bathroom features custom stonework, a clawfoot soaking tub, a spacious shower, and double vanities.
Upstairs you will find the Saddle Up Suite featuring a king bed and its own private bathroom with a beautifully tiled walk in shower. Two additional guest rooms and a bunk loft provide flexible sleeping arrangements for larger groups or families traveling together.
The upper level also includes a spacious bonus room designed for gathering and entertainment. Here you will find games, a custom wet bar, comfortable sectional seating, a large Smart TV with streaming capability, and expansive eastern views across the valley.
Outdoors, the property invites you to slow down and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Relax in the six person hot tub, gather around the outdoor fireplace, grill dinner on the BBQ, or unwind in one of the many quiet corners across the property. During warmer months, guests can cool off in the pool before settling in for a peaceful evening beneath the stars.
The owners live onsite in a separate residence known as the Hen House and take great pride in caring for the land and raising their horses. While they respect the privacy of guests, you may occasionally see them around the ranch and they are always happy to share their knowledge of the property and the valley. The home and outdoor areas surrounding it remain completely private for guests.
Located between Newberg and Wilsonville, the property feels wonderfully secluded while still being only about fifteen minutes from Newberg, Sherwood, and Wilsonville. The home sits at the end of a scenic gravel driveway that winds through the countryside. We recommend traveling with a vehicle while visiting the valley, though transportation can also be arranged through our private service, Pinot Car Wine Tours, for wine tours and dinner outings.
At Lifestyle Properties, our mission is to provide exceptional hospitality while helping guests experience the Willamette Valley like a local. Whether you would like assistance planning wine tastings, securing dinner reservations, or arranging special touches for a celebration, our team is here to help make your stay memorable. Family items including baby gates, high chairs, pack n plays, yoga mats, air mattresses, and outdoor games such as bocce ball and croquet are available to rent upon request..

Fantastic property and stay
Myself and a group of friends stayed for a long weekend at this hilltop home. It is fantastic - from the outdoor fireplace and bbq, hot tub, or simply the view we were all very pleased. I would stay here again without hesitation.
This place was amazing! The owners were extremely accommodating and helped make the stay even more enjoyable. The kids loved the french bulldogs and looking at the horses. Roosters Coop provided a much needed escape from the day to day.
Perfect little stay-cation close to home in a beautiful wild western themed lodge. Very accommodating for our two small families with adult children to enjoy one another's company without feeling cramped. Well supported by the host.

Highly recommend
Lovely property. Our family was attending a wedding in the area. It was a wonderful house and met our needs very well. We hope to come again.
We had four couples come from out of town to stay at the Rooster's Coop. The view is breathtaking and we were welcomed by many farm animals throughout the property. The home and amenities exceeded our groups expectations and it was a great overall experience. Would highly recommend.

The house was absolutely amazing! Would love to come back!
Each room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spacious! The kitchen and dining space is ideal for a party of 8. Great game room, with large tv that was perfect for Sunday football! Easy access off of I-5 and very close to wine tasting country! Thank for a memorable stay!
The pictures on line include a pic of a horse and foal and even that was accurate. I loved the property and it was perfectly suite for our family celebration. We feel very lucky to have been able to stay here.
Home is located in a rural area with farm animals on it. Landscaping is spectacular. Home is spotless, rooms are large and views are breath taking. A very peaceful and relaxing property, really hope to go back next year for a longer stay.
We had an amazing time. The property is spectacular with plenty of room many places to relax privately or together. We were able to cook incredible meals in the kitchen, spend time in the recreation room, and talk by the fireplaces. So nice to have the secluded property.
In a year we weren’t sure we could spend the holiday with our adult children, your property gave us an opportunity to be appropriately socially distanced and yet still together. In addition, the beautiful home and property made Thanksgiving even more special! Thanks for everything!
This property is outstanding. We have 4 couples that get together annually for a wine tasting adventure. This year we choose the Willamette Valley and this property couldn't have offered any better location and privacy for our group. Great property, Great Wines. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful, well furnished home and great for groups
We had a group of 8 spend a girls’ weekend here and couldn’t ask for anything more. The house is beautifully furnished and well stocked. We enjoyed having a “western”/“rustic” experience with beautiful outdoor space and views. During the time there, we had a power outage due to a storm and the property manager and owners were quite helpful and provided us with flashlights, candles and water to get through the storm. Highly recommend this for a getaway trip.
We got away for a few days and this location was so beautiful and breathtaking. The views are phenomenal, owners so so kind and the house was perfect. One thing I really appreciated, no strong fragrances were used in the home and pretty clean laundry products. It was very refreshing to not smell toxic candles, fragrance and bedding!! Thank you!

Amazing!
We loved our stay at Rooster’s Coop. The beautiful yard with the view of Mt. Hood and the horses in the field next to the house makes for an amazing setting. The house is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We had a pleasant surprise when the. owners dropped by a dozen fresh eggs in the morning. We’ll be back!!
We will book again! Wish we could have spent more time here, but we were getting ready for a wedding. Best to arrive in the daylight, the rural gravel road was a little intimidating in the dark. 😂 The owners were on the property and were very friendly and accommodating, including taking the time to introduce my niece to some of the horses! She was in heaven!
Fantastic home for our family in a beautiful setting
The property is fantastic with wonderful amenities. From the obvious like a billiard/hang-out room on the inside to a beautiful front lawn with waterfall and duck pond. The property also has the little things, like a great washer/dryer, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels for shower and jacuzzi. They also provided a welcome kit for my Boston Terrier, which was really great! The only thing I would caution about is the internet connectivity It works okay sometimes, but it not consistently reliable. I was able to use my T-Mobile phone as a hotspot, but reception there is not great for that carrier either.
We need to escape the city often and this was the perfect place for our family. It’s so nice to be so close to the animals, especially with our 3 year old daughter. We enjoyed fresh eggs every morning and fed the horses carrots regularly (we made a lot of friends). The house is stunningly beautiful. Enough space for all. Comfy beds and gorgeous kitchen and master bathroom. We loved the game room too. The internet wasn’t super strong - but we expected this having travelled to the area before and brought a mifi - so do that if you need to work or DL your shows beforehand. And the owners are super helpful if you need anything. Highly recommended!

Very nice house, remote, with a beautiful view!
We stayed here for a couple of nights, and we found it to be perfect for our needs. The house itself is very well done, remodeled baths, and kept up nicely. The views from the house are amazing, looking directly east perched on top of a hill with trees surrounding the property. A couple of notes for those unaware: this is a working horse ranch, so there is commotion outside and some noise early in the AM... this didn't bother us because we're early risers, but I can see that it would bother some. Also, you have to drive on a dirt road/driveway for a good stretch, which cakes a couple layers of dirt on your rental car... just be ready to run your rental through a car wash by the airport to avoid extra cleaning fees. This also wasn't an issue for us, but something those considering this property should be aware of. Thanks again for the nice stay, we really did enjoy it and would stay here again on our next visit!

Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable - Would return again
The Rooster's Coop is a beautiful home that offers comfort, space, quiet, and a great place to spend quality time with family. The view from the main windows overlooks Mt. Hood on a clear day. Starting the morning with a cup of coffee in the hot tub while the sun rises over Mt. Hood was a highlight. The kitchen and dining area more than met our needs as we prepared meals. The openness of the core living area - family room, dining room, and kitchen - made it possible to hang out in comfort. We started our first evening with a home cooked meal, followed by a fire in the outdoor fireplace. The outdoor living spaces are fabulous! The bedrooms provided space and comfortable beds. The bathrooms were great! The owner greeted us the first morning with a dozen fresh eggs and spent time visiting with us the first evening. The recommendation of driving 10 miles an hour to the home on the long driveway needs to be followed. It is curvy, rough, and has some potholes. No big deal, but just be attentive to where you are driving. Working with Lifestyle and the owners was easy. Quick response to my questions, suggestions for excursions and amenities, and truthful representation was appreciated. All in our family said that we would return again! Highly recommended place to stay.

Beautiful spot, not as private as I hoped
The house is gorgeous and has amazing amenities and an incredible view. However, the neighbors (the owners) dropped by a couple times, which made it less private than we hoped. The big windows facing the mountain also mean you can't expect privacy in a bedroom if the neighbors are walking by. They also had some dogs that would come to the house, which I would not have minded much except they pooped in the lawn where we were hanging out, and at one point even ran inside the house and peed. This was after we'd asked the management company to ask the owners to keep their dogs at their house (owners were not home for us to speak to directly). The only other issue was that the master bedroom's closet was locked, presumably for owner use, which was an inconvenience as we had a number of things we needed to hang up. I'd expect that the owners could use another closet for personal use, not the master. Overall, the house was great, but these things really changed the experience of our stay. If the rate per night was lower I wouldn't mind these things much at all, but for the price, I expected a more smooth stay.
