One Bedroom Suite on 1.5 Acres in Wine Country

Windrose Vacation Rental is a one bedroom, 1.5 bathroom suite with a living room, kitchenette, sitting area, and walk-in closet. It is located in the lower level of a 3500 square foot European style home. It is perfect for a couple visiting Oregon’s premier wine country (over 70 wineries located within a 5 mile radius!), a centrally located point to many of Oregon's classic attractions (Oregon Coast 1 hour away, Columbia River Gorge and hiking 1.5 hours away, Mt. Hood 1.5 hours away) or you want to experience a few of our local 4-5 star restaurants. Your suite looks out onto 1.5 acres of park like setting with deer, squirrels, beaver, and other wildlife. It overlooks a creek and wooded area and you can take your glass of wine and walk the loop trail down to the creek. Inside you have TV, iPhone station so you can plug in your Pandora, walk in closet, hot plate for cooking, sitting area for reading, dining table and chairs. Outside you have your own patio that overlooks the canyon which is perfect for your glass of wine in the evening (after that walk along the trail). It is private, quiet, and you kind of feel like you are out in the country with no one around you, but you are almost within walking distance to town.

George Fox University parents – need a place to stay after bringing your student to school, or for parents weekend, or graduation, or after a football game? This is the perfect place and your son/daughter can come visit you here! GFU campus is only 2 miles away!

You have your own private patio with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Windrose is also a Meeting and Event Center. So you can have your wedding or family reunion or Thanksgiving Dinner here with loved ones. It is close-in yet private.

NEW!!!!! Windrose Vacation Rental has been completely updated and refurbished in March of 2016. All rooms have been freshly painted, all new flooring and carpeting in all rooms, new toilets, new appliances, new king sized bed, everything is almost brand new. Come experience the new Windrose!

Wine tasting weekend

My husband & I stayed here for a birthday weekend get away. It was super convenient to so many wineries and close to many great restaurants too. The place was perfect for the two of us. It was nice & clean & the bed was comfortable. We would love to stay again & hopefully have better weather next time so we can enjoy the beautiful grounds.

Beyond expectation

Excellent place, location, private but yet close to the shopping area and sightseeing places, and Lynn was an amazing hostess. It was a very confortable place to stay and could not find anything to complaint for the 2 months we stayed. Will definitely come back if in Newberg and highly recommend for couples.

Comfortable room with a view!

Lynn was a very welcoming and attentive host. The apartment, a daylight basement with windows allowing a nice view of the beautiful forrest like setting, was extremely clean and very comfy. There is even an extra half bath which came in handy when family stopped by.

Lynn has set up a very nice unit i her Wildrose conference center. Nice outdoor space where you can sit out in the evenings and listen to the birds. And the new king bed is great. Great wine and food close bye. Bob& Susan Wilmington, Delaware

The Host (Lynn) was very helpful in identifying "go-to" locations such as wineries, restaurants, and local hotspots in the Willamette Valley area. The location is perfect for relaxing and was very clean and quiet. The property borders a wooded area and had a nice patio (with firepit) for winding down from a day's activities. We will definitely stay at Lynn's residence when back in the OR wine country.

This property is a lovely retreat

I live locally and rented this property for a visiting relative. She enjoyed the private and serene location. The property is like a retreat with multiple sitting areas and lush garden areas with a walking trail. The host provided extra treats little snack size treats that we appreciated after a long day of travelling. The property is perfectly situated with close proximity to wine country and the Oregon Coast.

A beautiful eventful gathering!

We enjoyed a 5 star experience at Windrose and will return again! Lynn was such a gracious host, the event space was beautiful and the grounds smelled of grapes which was a delightful treat! I also really enjoyed the apartment, the view, furnishings and over all feel of the space was very relaxing! We visit Newberg a lot and look forward to our next stay! Thank you Lynn.

Wonderful place, wonderful host

From the reviews we read about the property, we had high expectations. They were exceeded! Lynn, the manager and owner, provided a property that was extremely comfortable and private. We felt like we were home—even better. We cannot recommend this place with anything other than outstanding. It was more than reasonably priced and exceptionally comfortable. We stayed for a full week, and we enjoyed every moment. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Great little apartment, convenient location, lovely hostess

I spent 2 nights in the Windrose apartment while visiting my daughter at George Fox University. Lynn was a wonderful hostess and the apartment was well stocked with more supplies than I actually needed for my short stay. The binder guide to the area was a nice touch. The apartment is extremely private and feels remote even though we were only about 5 minutes from the university by car. My daughter was able to stay with me and still make it to her 8 a.m class with time to spare. Lovely scenery out the windows and very relaxing location. The accommodations were sparkling clean and have obviously been updated recently. It was more luxurious and spacious than a hotel room for a great price. Thank you Lynn for the lovely hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet you and Abby; I'm sorry we didn't have the chance to stop in and say goodbye before it was time to leave! I would not hesitate to return. If you are a George Fox parent or just want to explore this beautiful part of Oregon, I highly recommend Windrose!

We stayed here during our visit to the grandparents during Labor Day weekend. We had a fair amount of miscommunication with Lynn( whom was very pleasant to speak with) but were fairly worked out. The overall appearance when you open the door is pleasant although after the door is closed, you would notice the stagnant air in the bedroom! I did feel ill from the smell whenever the doors are locked. It is a bit creepy to see other people's pictures staring at you in the bedroom although I do understand that "It is a wedding venue"! The fold out sofa was quite beat up in the living room and fairly uncomfortable for my 10 yr to sleep in. We had to duck the cabinets when ever you sit into/get up from the sofa under the cabinets. The kitchen sink is a bar sink more than anything. I think this is more fitting for a college kid than a family!

Windrose in Newberg is a gem!

My husband and I loved our five night stay at the Windrose. Lynn is an excellent hostess with thoughtful and kind ways of providing an inviting, beautiful, and comfortable stay. She provided everything we needed and more. She communicated clearly, well, and promptly at all times. Visiting with her was a pleasure as well! The apartment has easy access and is clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The grounds are beautifully maintained. It's a quiet slice of country within the city. Wonderful! We were in town to meet the parents of our daughter's boyfriend and were delighted Windrose was only minutes from their home which made traveling back and forth quick and easy. We'll certainly stay at the Windrose again! Thank you for everything, Lynn!

Spoiled relaxation

Be prepared to be spoiled. We arrived to find goodies and a partially stocked refrigerator. Lynn, even made baked zucchini bread from her garden. Who does that, an excellent host who knows that even the smallest things matter! A very relaxing retreat.

Perfect Spot to Land

My husband and I had the pleasure to stay here to attend our daughter's wedding being held at a local winery. It is just perfect! Everything was comfortable and quiet. I especially loved the extra bathroom. It came in quite handy while getting ready for the wedding. We will come back if we visit the area again.

Windrose was amazing!

We had sold our home and needed a place to stay for a month while we prepared to move to the east coast. Windrose not only met our need but exceeded expectations. Lynn is an amazing host who made sure every need we had was taken care of. The little cottage was quiet, comfortable, and well equipped. I highly recommend Windrose if you plan on visiting this portion of Oregon wine country. You will not regret it.

This place was perfect. It was exactly how it appeared on the listing. Lynn has thought of everything to make this property comfortable, even snacks, coffee and creamer. The location was close to all of the different wineries. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic and serene

The property is beautifully situated on a 1+ acre lot and magnificently landscaped and cared for. The location is perfect and close to all the best vineyards in the Willamette valley. The king sized bed is very comfy and we had everything we could ever need during our stay. The innkeeper Lynn and her sweet dog Abby were delightful and friendly. We will be back, thank you Lynn and Abby! Cannot recommend this home strongly enough.

Oh absolutely great place to spend time like being in a park

Super nice host!

We checked in late (from a late plane trip) and, even though we asked Lynn if it would be ok (she said yes) she sweetly met us to show us a quick tour and to ask if we needed anything. We were in town to visit family and really only were there to sleep and have coffee in the morning (which she had provided along with some other treats). We didn’t get to explore the grounds but what we did see was tidy, pretty and well maintained. We would stay again! Jacque and Larry
