The place is TIRED and smells bad. No coffeemaker in the rooms. It's just gross there. The bathrooms are very nice - obviously new and very clean - but the carpeting is scary.

Conveniently located…short walk to Grand Central. 1/2 a block off of beautiful Park Ave. Giant clean room. HUGE tub! Comfortable bed. Only con was no mini fridge in the room.

When I arrived they did not habe the room type i already paid for. They tried to put me in another room that was not even comparable to the one I booked. After returing tonthe desk they gave me a better room. The staff were friendly and accomadating for the most part and they tried to fix their mistake. The shower was the best thing!

This place is not at all a luxury. I had a really bad experience. They failed to provide basic amenities. I could have easily booked another better hotel on the same price I booked this at. 1. There was no shower gel in the entire hotel, had to buy my own soap. 2. They charge/scam you for everything. I was charged 5$ per bag for storage. 3. The phone line/intercom was down, the receptionist gave us another number to call at, I tried reaching out a lot of times but it would go unanswered because of which I had to come down to the reception for anything I needed. 4. They didn't give us any toothpaste either. No bathroom slippers. 5. Thermostat was broken as well. 6. Had to wait really long time for the service requests to be addressed. It was just bad!

They should have at least a coffee maker in each room. Also vending machines and ice machine on every floor or every other floor. Not have to make a line in check in just to get a bucket of ice.

Warning!! Avoid booking a stay at this hotel unless you're comfortable showering with brown water!! My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing due to the poor water quality. Upon turning on the faucet in the shower, I was greeted with yellow and brown water flowing out into the bathtub. I didn’t notice the issue until I filled the bathtub with water for a bath after showering since it's hard to notice when you're in the shower, but it was visible in the white bathtub. Most rooms only have a shower booth with dark tiles, making it difficult for most guests to notice the discolored water unless they fill a container with it. Not only was this disgusting and off-putting, but it also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety of the water supply. Despite speaking with the manager the next day, the issue remained unresolved, leaving me incredibly unsatisfied with my stay. The manager who could deal with this situation was not available that night, so I had to wait until the next morning. I changed rooms with my two children at 11 pm, but the new room's shower had the same brown water when I checked it, so I returned to my original room. The manager kept insisting that only my rooms had issues and none of the other rooms in the hotel experienced the same problem.

The whole place needs a serious refresh. The drapes and furniture were stained, the toiletries are mid-matched leftovers and you can’t even buy a bottle of water on-site.

Was expecting it to be run down due to all the reviews, but overall great hotel. The room is very spacious compared to other properties. Conveniently located to Grand Central. The Newark Airport Express bus stop is two blocks away. Walking distance to Midtown-Public Library, Rockefeller. It’s nice and quiet at night. Had a window view of the Chrysler bldng. Traveled with teenage daughter and felt very safe. There is a fridge but no microwave. No coffee machine but front ofc brought us a tea kettle for the room. Satisfied, I would stay here again.

The Tuscany is a gem of a hotel in a perfect location. From the friendly and helpful staff to the huge room and oh so comfy bed, The Tuscany exceeded all expectations. Its within easy walking distance to Grand Central Station and surrounded by amazing food, from sit-down high end meals to grab and go slices or bagels, it has it all .... if i could give more than 5 stars I would!

Loved the rooms but weren't cleaned too well. Smells like the bed was covered in febreze, it was really strong. The table in my rooms also wasnt clean. Great otherwise.

Great location in respect to grand central and getting to the rest of manhattan by subway. Not the best for wondering at night but it is a short hope to Village and Soho. Lobby is a bit sparse but for the money, it is a great deal. Enjoyed my stay.

The hotel location was great and our room was much bigger than many NYC rooms and lovely. Unfortunately, the HVAC in our room did not work properly. The solution offered was a space heater…at no point were we offered a room change or other option. The tile in the shower had clearly cracked at some point and the grout repair made it look like like there was a sticky substance stuck to the shower floor. The iron did not work and the mini-fridge in the room was a very odd shape that didn’t allow things to be stored in it very well.

Hello. Please refer to the General managers notes. We conducted an investigation and it was discovered that the guest had intentionally spilled coffee in an attempt to receive free nights. Guests stated that they checked into the room with bio hazard sheets on the bed- they are requesting a refund; however, after the investigation, it was discovered that the Room Attendant did not place dirty sheets on the bed. Guests checked in at 11:00am, and requested the sheets to be changed at 2am. The Houseman who changed the sheets around 2am stated that the stains looked like Coffee and did not come from us. No compensation will be given.

Property was average. The heat in my room didn't work properly. When I came the room wasn't ready. The front desk told me to use the bathroom in the lobby which was disgusting. Not impressed. .

I booked my stay at the tuscany for the convenience and closeness to grand central station. Upon arrival, only one front door was working. Could not check in until close to 4pm. Also, only one elevator was functional. The room was super nice and comfortable. Next day, neither elevator was working. So we had to go up and down five flights of stairs a couple of times. Third day our room was serviced but we had no towels called repeatedly to the front desk with no avail. Woke up early next morning and went personally to request towels. Overall, it is a nice, quiet hotel. I’m a little disappointed on the various mishaps but I still had a nice vacation.

A great location 2 blocks from Grand Central Terminal. Hotel is older but well maintained. Room was huge compared to other NY hotel rooms. Bed super comfortable with soft sheets. Thermostat was not accurate. Had a hard time regulating temperature, too hot for our liking at night. No soap in bathroom even after I asked for it. Would definitely recommend this hotel and definitely plan on staying again.

I recently stayed at The Tuscany and I would definitely recommend for its friendly and accommodating staff. The facilities were great overall, though not perfect. For instance, the excavator was somewhat old, and the room decor appeared outdated. However, these minor issues didn’t really detract from the overall experience. Its convenience, being right next to Grand Central, adds to its appeal. This hotel is a solid, affordable option for anyone looking for a good stay.

Location was great, a 5-minute walk to Grand Central Station, Summit One Vandebilt, walking distance to Bryant Park and NY Public Library. Close to restaurants, shops and convenience stores. Our room huge and clean with a nice city window view, beds were comfortable, washroom was clean and looked modern. However, service was poor, requests took too long to come, some did not come at all, had to call front desk multiple times to follow up. Our room also did not have a microwave, and the right bedside desk was ripped off from the wall. Had mixed feelings about the hotel.
