The room has no temperature control. It was so hot, we couldn't sleep. Also, the door to our hotel room was open when we checked in. There were crumbs on the table from a previous guest. Would not recommend

Ok place to crash in the city. Window air conditioning unit that blows right into the bathroom door. No way to control the heat. Had to run air conditioner constantly so it wasn't too hot in the room.

Crash pad. Tiny and odd. The hotel Location and it's bunk beds are what works. Two men , we got a full bed & a bunk bed. Price per bed only way to justify the price.

This is a cute little place to stay for couples or single people traveling. It’s close enough to Times Square but far way enough that you don’t have to deal with all the hassle and bussel that Times Square offers. We got a family room and loved it. It’s a very small place but feels very New York. There are some great places to eat nearby and we really loved the property. I’d definitely stay here again!!

This place is pretty convenient and has many places to go to around the area. The room was clean. I love the room, only downside was that it particularly small, but it did give a homey vibe. Definitely will consider this place on the future.

First, this is a small property in a very small footprint compared to other hotels. That being said, this was a very cool hotel and perfect for a quick trip into the city! Clean, friendly staff, quiet, and the rooms, while very small, were perfect. We had a room with two twin beds, so I don’t know if other bed choices are larger, but we LOVED the sparse decor, that still had everything we needed. The bathroom was also very nice. We travel to NYC often for auditions and lessons with singing coaches, and have stayed in all sizes of hotels of varying qualities (big, but not clean; clean but off the beaten path, etc.), but this was a charming hotel and an enjoyable stay—highly recommend!

Not what I expect for the area and the price, we expend similar prices around with better stay Around the entrance of the hotel it’s not good at all cool out site but too warm inside the room don’t have ac system only small ac at the window beds are ok bathroom was clean but the big concern it’s the entrance location inside hallways and not feel completely safe room inside condition is acceptable with couple concerns but I think the price is little high in comparison other hotels around with better conditions

Doxie was perfect for our family. Short walk to subway and Time Square. Nice staff. Plenty of space. It was pretty cold in the room because of the central heating, but they gave us a heater. I enjoyed our stay at the Doxie. I would recommend to families!

Great little place.
Was a great little hotel for a girls weekend and the price was right. The rooms are not spacious but they are clean. We didn’t spend much time in the room other than to sleep. One complaint was that there was no temperature control in our room. The temperature was fine, but it would be nice to control it yourself. The second room we booked for our group the tv remote didn’t work right. Overall it was great for what we needed it for: a place to sleep and shower. We would come back. Easy to walk to many attractions.

Doxie Hotel is a hidden gem! Clean and spacious! Excellent staff! There were some areas under renovation but that did not impact our stay at all! The elevator is small but a minimal sacrifice for all the wonderful attributes it boasts!

I was pleasantly surprise at how quiet the room was- very little traffic noise, no noise from the adjacent rooms. The staff was superb, super kind, and helped make sure our bags were stored safely so that we could go explore without lugging our bags with us. It was a perfect place for a quick weekend trip to the big apple.

complete honest review for the mfs who actually wanna know what it’s like here: doxie hotel is p cheap so idk why y’all have expectations that it’s going to be luxurious. it has everything that you need + decent beds. for the location, it’s an amazing hotel. do not listen to the 1 star reviews. just entitled customers. if you wanna stay in NYC for a few days it’s great. longer? probably consider a more expensive hotel but this hotel delivered perfectly for me and my family.

Pleasantly Surprised
Apprehensive at first but wowed by the service when I booked and then walked in and they were immediately able to retrieve my res and get me checked in at 1am! Not fancy by any means, but a comfy place to stay for a night or two. The room was clean and had a slightly modern feel to it, cute bathroom with ample shower space. The area can be a bit seedy at night but otherwise a great spot central to all that the city has to offer. Not necessarily a place to get a room with a view but for around $100 great for a budget minded solo traveler or college student staying the night!

Great little find in a great location!
While it is a small hotel, our room was definitely spacious enough for 5 adults and a teenager. It was very clean and modern, plenty of towels and frequent garbage disposal. All staff was very kind and helpful. The only “issue” was our room keys stopped working every two days, but it was an easy fix at the front desk.

Great location
A very nice small hotel that is clean and with friendly staff. Very good for short visits. Short walk to Time Square, Rockefeller Center and shopping centers. Rooms are small but enough and quite comfortable and clean. Ventilation seems adequate. Can hear hallway noise when kids are running or see folks talking loudly, but not hearing noises from outside traffic.

The staff is very unfriendly and the lobby is so tight and small. The stairs are steep and it’s just not a good hotel unless you are staying for a weekend or less.

The Doxie is conveniently located in the heart of Midtown. It’s an easy walk to Penn Station, Times Square, Macys and The Empire State Building. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room has lots of nice extras like a hot water kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer and abundant toiletries.

If you’re looking for a bed and somewhere to go to rest your feet in between your journeys into the city this place was great. Clean enough. Hot shower. Not perfect. Not particularly modern but it serves its purpose and is located in an amazing spot. Outside of it being a little warm in the room, zero complaints for a no frills hotel stay!! Highly recommend, will return.

It's easy to miss, but this hidden hotel in Times Square is a good value. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. TV didn't work and when I tried to call down to the front desk, the phone didn't work either. But other than that, my stay was fine. One highlight: When I checked in, my queen bed room wasn't available because the previous guests had wrecked the place. The nice woman behind the desk apologized, but could only offer me a twin bed room or a queen room that was the "smallest room in the hotel." I chose the latter, and she was right. It was small and in dank corner, but I was going to manage. Plus, she gave me free breakfast at a nearby place. A few minutes later, she knocked on my door. Someone had just canceled, and their suite was available. She upgraded me to the suite and I happily moved my stuff over to the much better room. I give them credit for resolving the situation in such a customer-friendly way.
