Great place and location

Loved everything about our stay

I loved the apartment as well as the location. It is close to a subway, bus station, restaurants, grocery stores....basically everything you need, and it is very clean. The host was responsive and great to deal with. We truly enjoyed our stay! I recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit New York City.

Great space!

So much better than a hotel. VERY stylish with all amenities. Great space for 4 adults. Subway 10-12 minute walk with access to most places. Lots of delis nearby to buy the essentials.

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay here. Close to transit, great restaurants. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. The host was great and made sure everything was in order. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great place to stay in Harlem

We got to the apartment really late but getting in was easy with instructions from our friendly host. The apartment was clean and comfortable and we had no issues during our visit. I hope this apartment is available for our next trip to Harlem!

Fantastic experience!

We had a wonderful stay at your Harlem apartment! It was very well-equipped and perfect for our family of four. The game room with arcade machines was a huge hit with our kids (five stars!). The host was exceptionally friendly and check-in/out was super clear. The 10-minute walk to the subway was convenient for getting downtown. We noted the location was a couple of blocks east of the listing, but it was minor. A small suggestion: an Italian coffee pot would be nice. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Cosy apartment

Apartment was great just what we were looking for and had everything you needed to be a home from home which is important to us as we were travelling with a 10yo and he likes to spread out so this was great and we were far enough away from centre of city but found it easy enough to access when we wanted easy reach of Central Park, neighbour hood was friendly enough so overall a gem of a find for us

A very warm welcome.

The apartment is very nice, although it could do with a few improvements. Desire is very considerate. The proximity of the metro is convenient. On the other hand, noise pollution can be a nuisance for those not used to city life.

Birthday Getaway

My friend & I took her daughter to NYC for her 18th birthday. Friendly neighbors in the building & even stores/shops nearby had friendly & helpful staff. We didn’t feel uncomfortable or unsafe walking around. Short walk to the subway, 20-30 min Uber ride to majority of places we wanted to go so location was pretty good. Communication with host was excellent & we had no issues checking in or out. Would recommend!

Overall, it was a good stay. Getting in and out of the apartment was very easy. However, I am unclear as to why the actual address was different than the one that was listed. It was about 3 blocks east, closer to Harlem River. I don’t want to make any assumption but I would suggest to list the actual address so as to be transparent with the customer. Also, that sofa bed in the game room was extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on metal. It was so bad that I went as far as to buy an air mattress for the apartment. I left it there for future stays as a courtesy. Lastly, the tip of the shower faucet where you lift up to switch to the shower head was broken. We still managed to take showers.We still managed to make it to the subway, but it was further than we thought given the address change. The neighborhood itself was ok for the most part, definitely noisy. I did like having the bodega right next to us, as well as a market and other places to eat. The deli below us played loud music a lot however.Overall a good stay.

Cozy Stay

The apartment was super cute and perfect for my family of 5. The game room was a hit. The place was clean and three bedrooms was a plus for New York. The neighborhood was a little rough but never felt unsafe. The host was very pleasant and responsive. The only slight inconvenience was that the initial address given by VRBO was incorrect. The host reached out almost immediately to let us know and give us the correct address as well as parking information. Overall, the apartment was perfect for our weekend stay!

Near transportation

Overall this place was cute and cozy. It was fine for 3 adults. Location was near by buses and trains which was convenient. Also plenty of delis, and other places for food and groceries. Easy check-in and we were able to drop off bags before check-in. However, i will say that overall cleanliness could be better. Had to sweep the floor as soon as we got there a little after 3pm. Although we did not use the oven -and stove as we opted to eat out, it did not seem clean, oven door looked broken from the side. Additionally host sent a refund by mistake, in which I had to go through the process and make that payment amount back, and now hoping it doesn't mess with our full payment amt.

A little gem in east harlem

I totally recommend this place for your stay! The place is big, it has a game room so it is nice to have space to chill out and don't get overwhelmed by the city. There is a lot of shopping options 24/7 and restaurants around :) The communication with Dezi was outstanding! We did have a little problem with the fridge, which she fixed the same day and gave us a cash compensation. I would love to be back!

Great apartment in East Harlem

The host was proactive and friendly, reaching out the day before we arrived to ensure we had all the correct information. The apartment itself was very comfortable and cute. Cleanliness is excellent. The beds were comfortable. There is a grocery store about a block away which was very convenient. The apartment (located at the corner of 1st Ave and 105th) is about 3 blocks from the subway station at Lexington and 103rd. This is an urban apartment building so there is a fair amount of noise from the street and within the building. That is what I expect in NYC so it was not a problem for me.

Great getaway

The listing was accurate. We were there for about four days, Just to explore the city. It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the subway not too bad. The apartment was small and cozy. The little game room was great just to unwind my 12-year-old enjoyed the arcade games. The only thing I couldn’t access was the Wi-Fi, but that wasn’t a big concern. The host was great very responsive. Our plane got in a little early and they even let us drop off our luggage before time. I would definitely recommend.

4-Night Getaway for 4 Adults

Nice apartment with 3 small bedrooms. The 2 full beds were very comfortable. The third bed was a collapsible sofa in the game room that was very uncomfortable and way too small for any adult. Great location 7 blocks east of the Museum of the City of New York. Good access to public transportation with 2 bus stops a block away and subway 8 blocks away. The description mentions a washer and dryer but there was none. Directions for check-in and check-out were very simple but not sent by VRBO as they usually are. The host was very responsive when I reached out to get the check-in directions. I hope the host updates her description regarding the 3rd bed and the lack of washer and dryer because this is a nice place and you should rent it.

Owner was nice, cleaner did not

The location was ok, and the owner was nice. The carpeton the living room was dirty, linen was and matress protector were not changed, with some hair on them and the oven was with food inside and really dirty. Finally I left my wallet and a tshirt and i just came back an hour later i checked out to pick it up. the cleaning guy was stil there, then i asked him if he found something in there and he said that nothing was found.I thought he was nice, but he just lyed me, and through them away: both, shirt and pocket (or stolen them, i dont know) Im really disapoimted with him, because i did not forget at all, just realized and came as soon as i could.

Pros & Cons

We had mixed reviews on this stay - some things went really well and some things not so much. Pros: Check in and check out were super easy - host was clear and we knew exactly what to do. She also was willing to accommodate our request to drop luggage off a little early as long as it didn't interfere with the prior visitors - which was nice and obviously not required. Host was also super communicative- we had an issue with the fridge and she had people out that day to fix/replace and we knew exactly what was happening the whole time. She also offered to compensate for any lost food. Kids loved the game room (huge add for us at the end of a long day) and we liked having some extra space compared to a hotel room. Cons: I wish the listing had been clearer about a few things - the address in the listing was 3-4 blocks West of where the property actually was (and it was listed significantly closer to a subway station & central park). Those blocks made a big difference for my young kids who were tired at the end of the day. The listing also claimed the unit had laundry - the laundry was in the hall / communal. Not a big deal if that had been how it was presented, but it made it seem like the laundry was in unit. Finally, the apartment wasn't particularly clean when we arrived. Dishes/pans in the cupboards were dirty and needed to be washed before we could use them. We had to sweep the room (lots of dust/debris) and we didn't use the oven because there were cobwebs.

The host was amazing to deal with and when you are doing a trip to NYC that helps a lot. Place was super clean! I don’t think you can find a better value in Manhattan. Honestly book this place. 2 bedrooms. It’s not too cramped. They keep it very clean. And the AC unit actually works and keeps you cool. I have stayed in a lot of places in Manhattan and for the money this is top notch!
