Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
The host scammed me after I booked the property. Hours before check-in the host contacted me off the VRBO platform to let me know that they had an error on their part and the address of the listing is wrong. This was a safety concern but I was arriving to a different country with my partner and child and needed a place to go. Do not book this property and avoid booking with VRBO if you expect good customer service. Here are my issues:1) pictures on the listing were changed by the host after within a couple hours of check-in. evidence as the listing was showing errors for a while which I suspect was when the host was editing the listing.2) property was completely different to and significantly worse quality than the original pictures.3) host was unavailable during our stay. I was provided 2 different phone numbers to contact the host and neither of them answered. I received no replies to my complaint.4) there was evidence of mice, mouse droppings on the dishes in the dingy kitchen. We ended up not using any dishes or the kitchen to cook.5) washroom was old, dingy and moldy. My child refused to take a shower, he was so disturbed. it was a struggle to get the cold water to work.6) lights did not work in the living room. 7) VRBO was no help in addressing the situation as they told me they would provide a solution within 24hrs but then couldn’t do anything because they could not get in touch with the host.
