The property is clean and in a great location. It is close to the Yale campus, right next door to a CVS and walking distance from cafes and restaurants. The bed was not very comfortable but the shower was great. There were parties in the building on both nights but it’s a college campus. I had a few issues that I think the host can fix to make this a better experience:
1. Fix the lock box situation. I was not able to get the key from the box because the code given did not work. Thankfully the host responded to my phone call and was able to give me a code to enter into the door lock. I used that code throughout my stay.
2. Consider investing in white towels and a washable bathroom rug. Black towels cannot be bleached properly so they are not the most hygienic for this kind of situation. I bought a bathtowel to use during my stay.
3. Remove the LED wire lights on the walls, turn them off before leaving, or leave instructions on how to turn them off. I was unable to sleep on the first night because the lights were so bright and the remote to turn them off did not work. I wrote the host during the night. She wrote back in the morning and told me where I should point the remote to turn the lights off. Turned them off for the rest of my stay. Same for the LED light behind the tv.
4. The coffee maker did not work for me. Kept asking me to add more water. Gave up and went to Dunkin.
5. What is the sensor on the bathtub?
6. $$$ but all hotels are $$$ during Yale family weekend.
