This simple, affordable, cottage in the woods near Lake Michigan has a lot to offer with a newly remodeled three quarter bath.
Imagine spending the day at the association's private beach relaxing, and then return home to grill hamburgers on the private deck. After dinner, you return to the beach to enjoy the beautiful sunset before heading back to roast marshmallows in the patio fire pit.

The cottage is located only ten minutes away from Michigan City and the many area attractions it has to offer. If you enjoy shopping The Lighthouse Place outlet mall is perfect for you. Kids of all ages will enjoy the Washington Park Zoo or the Hot Rod Museum. Throughout the summer, there are many local berry patches that you can pick your own berries from as well.

It was a great home base for a fun filled weekend at the Indiana Dunes. We enjoyed the upper deck for dinners and relaxing. The best part was the golf cart that we took to the private beach, perfect for watching the sun set.

Great location near the beach

We stayed here two years ago and had a great time, so we came back. This is a nice location on a wooded lot within walking distance to the beach. The house is clean and has plenty of room for our family of four.

Wonderful stay

Had a wonderful stay at this beach cottage. The peaceful wooded setting was ideal for sitting on the deck reading and watching the deer. The beach is so close and easy to get to. Rachel is a great host and very communicative. Would for sure stay again.

Better than expected

The listing is more spacious and even nicer that the pictures show. It had everything we could possibly need. The beach was beautiful. The beds aren't the best, but plenty of blankets, pillows, and linens. We loved the golf cart, location to everything we wanted to do, and the communication with host. A wonderful experience. I hope to book it again sometime. We cooked out on the grill and enjoyed the deck over looking the woods. It's a beautiful cottage, very clean and cozy.

Wonderful weekend vacay

The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and basic items. Extra blankets and a pack n play was really helpful! The golf cart was so much fun and we absolutely loved the private beach, catching the sunset of course for our last night. Lovely area with so much to offer. We hopw to return soon!

Super cozy cute well appointed house. The location in variety of activities around the neighborhood were way beyond our expectations. Walking to the private beach and the area were huge bonuses. This is a really cool community with interesting architecture and beautiful wooded streets to walk. I really liked the area. In the proximity to all the great parks around there.

Best kept secret in the woods

Planned this trip for my Hubby's birthday and anniversary. It was absolutely perfect. Close to the beach everything we wanted to do in the area. The house was very cute and clean. Very quiet neighborhood and everyone we met were very friendly. Property manager was very helpful and also very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here. I will be booking next year for sure!

Great location!

Wonderful, quiet neighborhood in walking distance to the beach, and easy driving distance to Indiana Dunes State and National parks. Owners have plenty of items on hand if needed, such as beach items, a dog crate if you are traveling with your fur baby, and even a high chair if you are traveling with a small child. There is also a golf cart for your use! Cute shops and great places to eat in downtown New Buffalo. Lots of outdoor seating at the house, including a grill and a firepit.

Vacation's all I ever wanted 🎶

I had an absolutely WONDERFUL stay with my girls, brother and dog. We had everything needed and more to enjoy ourselves. As a single mom, this was the first BEACH vacation I was able to give my family. We made wonderful memories to last a lifetime. I think our favorite part was driving the golf cart down to the beach every day. We hope to make this our annual summer trip, truly couldn't have had a better time. The host, Rachel is so quick and helpful with any questions or concerns we had during our stay. The property is gorgeous, we woke up to twin baby deer every morning!

Birthday Getaway

This location was PERFECT to celebrate my son’s 22nd birthday. It was so relaxing and the amenities were amazing! The owners of this home did not short you from anything. If I had 1 complaint it would be the bed in the first bedroom on the right needs to be replaced or upgraded! Also the cushions on ALL lawn furniture needs to be replaced, they were all to dirty, musty and moldy to sit on from being under the trees. I would suggest a storage for the cushions and get out as needed .

3 night stay with poor weather

We had some bad weather while there - which ended up with losing electricity in the entire neighborhood 11:30pm - ~1pm the next day. Had trouble locating flashlights, candles and lighter at 11:30pm (in an unknown place!) It was rainy and overcast for alot of the 1st day and most of the 2nd. Good thing is the temperature was pleasant (so didnt need AC) and we were able to go into Michiana for coffee and bowling. There were plenty of towels, water-toys (lifejackets), hot water, the kitchen was fully stocked. Golf cart was super great to use to get to the private beach (rocky shore). We ate in New Buffalo every night (Brewsters (reservation), Stray Dog, & Caseys AND would walk around before & after dinner down to the public beach (which my kids loved so much).

Great location basic home

Easily the best part of our stay, was the proximity to the beach along with the golf cart. The cart had a flat that was fixed on the fourth day of our stay and we enjoyed using it. On the flip side, the furniture in the family room was in desperate need of replacement. The couch was hard to get out of due to sinking into the cushions and the love seat was even worse. The stairs were tough to climb (high risers) and railings are wobbly. The tiny bathroom has no shower curtain liner and the curtain piled on the floor and got soaked with each shower. The kitchen was lacking a lot of basics, and the deck was covered with tree debris and mismatched wet chair cushions. We couldn’t sit out there, and the front porch chairs were peeling paint and unusable. The front door lock was horribly difficult to use as well. The “beach” towels that were provided were just regular sized towels. We certainly enjoyed our time at the beach and in the area.
