House is super clean, furnishing so comfortable, kitchen and grilling were perfect for dining in sometimes and well stocked. The location is the best! Hot tub and outdoor shower are unique and something we enjoyed every night. The pool was a great temp too. Walkable to everything including in town and beach. We had the best time! Hosts are exceptional, great rapid communication and so kind. Thank you for sharing your delightful home with us for this week! Some of our favorite places to eat include Nancy’s, post boy, redamak, and rios. We had such fun playing pool in the basement and watching World Cup games. Also the pickle ball, tennis, basketball courts near the high school were a place we frequented—they’re even lighted for night time play.

Wonderful stay!

We love staying at merchant street cottages due to proximity to restaurants and the beach. I really appreciated this one because of all the bathrooms with double sinks and other amenities that really made this property a fantastic one for comfort. This is an impeccably decorated home. It felt like a home away from home, thank you!!

Merchant Street cottage M

This was a family vacation. There were 11 attendees, ages 10 to 76. Our cottage was very clean and well appointed. Great location. We were able walk or bike to everything New Buffalo had to offer, beach, shopping, bars and restaurants. A large grocery store was a 5 minute walk. New Buffalo is a very nice little town. Highly recommend staying in a location that is walkable to beach and town.

Great family stay!

This property was beautiful and worked out perfectly for our family trip. We had 10 people, including two children and an infant and we all fit comfortably. The decor was very modern/pretty and the bathrooms were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the host was excellent about communicating with me. We also enjoyed the pool (heated and clean, beach towels were provided) everyday we were there. Walking distance to Beer Church, there's a Rainbow Cone within walking distance as well. Quick drive to Three Oaks if you're interested in Journeyman. You can also walk to the beach, but we chose to drive there upon checking out. We recommend this property!

Perfect for our family

This Merchant St. Cottage house worked out well for our three generations family. Grandparents are early risers and slept on the main floor. The preteenagers slept upstairs and enjoyed the loft area. And the parents got caught up on some much needed sleep in the cool and dark basement bedroom. While we didn’t use it there were beach chairs, a cart, and other paraphernalia available. The kitchen was well equipped although we didn’t cook much. The location is perfect with a neighborhood swimming pool for the kiddos. Dining and shopping is just a few blocks away and the beach is about a half mile walk. We had a great time. Thank you!

This review is a tough one! The house, location, neighborhood was fabulous and the three couples enjoyed the home. Everything inside the house was very nice and the curb appeal was very appealing. However a few suggestions to make it even better would be a deep clean inside house. Kitchen cabinets and drawers were not the cleanest. A lot of missing light bulbs. Outside needed a refresh..back area by hot tub really needed to be cleaned….leaves and debris cleaned up. Maybe clean and wash windows. I don’t want these few things to change peoples mind to rent……it really is a great property. Cleaning up these few things would make it even better. YES, would definitely return! Thank you.

LOCATION & AMMENITIES!! Fully Equipped Vacation Rental!

Our family with four generations had an amazing time at this property. We have rented several places over the years and this is probably our favorite for a largish family. The property is fully equipped and they have thought of everything. They have beach towels, beach toys, bikes and rafts for outside fun and plenty of dishes, pans, spices and nice knives for fun in the kitchen. The pool is practically next door and the hot tub is ready to go. Town and the beach are extremely walkable--even for the elderly folks in our group. The house itself is broken into nice spaces for a large group. We all loved the back porch and the front porch and we had fun with the pool table. The few issues we had were responded to quickly--within minutes--and resolved. We are already checking our calendar for next year. THANK YOU!
