You can find better
The reception staff spoke zero English which made the check in very long and uncomfortable. The staff member looked very annoyed that we didn’t speak French and made very few attempts to translate or make us understand apart from when he wanted money. I know we were in France and they except us to speak French and so on, but we were just moving from England back to our home country Sweden and unfortunately France is in the middle. A few standard phrases from a hotel receptionist is not too much to ask. The room was not cleaned properly and there was a small carton box on the side of the basin that looked like it’s been there since 1985. It was filled with a sewing needle and some other crap but nothing useful like toothpaste. The bed was uncomfortable. There were signs everywhere with advice on how to save the environment by not charging your phone the whole night and so on and so on. I think caring for the environment is very important but in this case it was very clear that it was to save money and nothing else.

Please here some explanations : You arrived very late and our night speaks indeed not a lot of English. he works with us for more then 30 years, is really a nice person, but was never a language man.... sorry about that. But he did his best and even if it took some more minutes, I think he welcomed you in a nice way About our accessories box, it contents a shower cap, a makeup remover, a sewing kit, nailfile and a lotion. This is all free. We also have toothbrushes, shaving kits etc for free at reception. I would say that according to the price of the room, this is pretty fair :-) It might not be useful to you, but it is for others for sure and FREE :-) About our environment signs : it is not for the money. I think your remark is pretty unfair... We are Green Key labeled and do also a lot ourselves to limit our environnemental footprint. And know : if you stay more than one night and you do not want your room cleaned (less soap, water, etc used), the customer gets a free voucher of 5 euro to use in the bar or restaurant... every night... Isn't that great for our guests ? I would like to end with some regrets : you slept with two persons in the room and you both have put a negative feedback on different sites... You should know this is very detrimental for us... Was that really necessary to take so much time to denigrate a family hotel which is known to give the best welcome to all guests ? I would have appreciated if you had given the same feedback directly to the reception in the morning... Very comfortable bed clean and tidy excellent value for money. All clean warm and totally adequate with tea and coffee kettle complimentary water. Staff helpful and friendly. Very warm room. Tv and WiFi. I would stay again great for a couple of nights.

Great price and great location. Very convenient as it is just a few yards from the main highway but far enough to remain silent, calm and pretty. Feels like you're in the middle of the woods in a small village. Staff is great and quality/pricing ration is maximum.

Accessible but not for wheelchair bound guests
Whilst overall the stay was pleasant the hotel had been economical with the truth in some respect. We asked for an accessible room and wrere told by the concierge that we had been given one. Luckily I get around using sticks. If I had been wheelchair bound I would have had chronic difficulty negotiating the stairs - no lift although one was mentioned in the brochure. The shower was an in bath shower. I bring my own step to get in but how someone wirth a wheelchair would have functioned I do not know.The had a restaurant but it was not open on saturday. The wi-fi was inadequate. Onthe other hand the hotel had good parking and was easy to find. It also had two BBC TV channels

Does what it says on the tin. Budget hotel - clean, friendly staff, bar. Quadruple room with 4 single beds is unusual but served our purposes perfectly. 24 hour reception + free parking useful during a road trip.

Very quiet comfortable hotel. Recommended
This hotel is just a few kilometres inside the French border with Belgium and very close to Lille. If you are heading for the ferry ports of Ostend and Zeebrugge this a terrific staging point. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighbourhood with a large car park. Our room was spacious and clean, with an electric kettle and plenty of tea and coffee. The breakfast offered a wide choice of hot and cold options in a nicely appointed dining room. Despite our late arrival we were welcomed and checked in quickly and without fuss. There is a retail park nearby. One last tip. Trust your Satnav to find the hotel easily. Google maps suggests an alternative, apparently easier approach but one of the roads you consider using crossed the other one 5 metres above it ! Highly recommended. Will stay again.

Convenient and clean
Overnight stay on the way across France, but would certainly use this hotel again for a longer stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Even got a home-made meringue as a treat.

Mid-week in Lille in June
I was staying in Lille for a couple of nights for the Euro 2016 football and this hotel was the closest that I could get for an affordable price. It was conveniently located off a motorway, though understandably not within the range of public transport for downtown Lille (as best I could figure out). The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a quiet and relaxed feel. The staff were very welcoming and both helpful courteous during all interactions (which mainly involved ordering taxi's for me as we were usually outside the range of Uber) and very patient of my limited French.

Quiet area, excellent staff
Spent a week around Lille, mainly for the football of the Euro championship. Was pleased with the facilities and quality of the hotel. Only gripe would be the location being out of the centre of Lille needing to get a bus and metro to centre. Overall would recommend for price and quality of hotel, an ideal hotel if you don't mind public transport into the centre of Lille.

Perfect place for a cycling break.
Stayed over the Paris Roubaix weekend. Could keep my bike in my room, great spot for riding into Belgium on quiet country lanes and friendly staff. Continental breakfast a little steep at 13 euros but ok.

I was a bit disappointed with the hotel. It has a very old style to it, & I don't mean classic. It stated that it was sound-proof, but you could definitely hear the neighbors and outside noise even if you closed the windows. Not only so, but there was no air ventilation (only a heat system), which doesn't help in the month of June, & thus, it was quite stuffy if you closed the windows to avoid noise. There was a stain on the bathroom counter + a short piece of hair, thankfully not curly, & the toilet didn't flush well, even after a number one. The showerhead fell off when you turned it on & nearly hurt me the first time, thankfully I anticipated each other time. The soap was low quality, fyi. The best thing about it was the restaurant, where the food was very good, even if the service wasn't great.

Found the hotel easily and the staff were lovely - unfortunately the lady on reception was the only member of staff. That said she managed to check us all in, gives us directions to a restaurant and serve drinks at the bar! We visited in November and there was nowhere in walking distance to eat so you would need a car.

Great for cycing tour
The hotel was perfect for a stopover on the way to Brussels by bike with a locked garage. Basic and comfortable, friendly, but not food was average.
