However, the bar only served Bud draft and a Thai draft beer. I was at the VERY LEAST expecting to be served with a local Scottish beer — huge bummer! The Mercure Hotel is located in the middle town, a one minute walk to Victoria Market— huge plus!"

"Very nice stay at this hotel. Comfortable and spacious, welcoming staff and great food / service. The hotel is just up the road from the castle and a short walk into the city centre. I arrived just as a large party was checking in at the front desk so headed to the bar to get a drink and wait for the queue to go down. One member of staff noticed this and checked me in and brought my room key over whilst I relaxed with a pint. Very accommodating. Will definitely be back ! 10/10"

"Very nice stay at this hotel. Comfortable and spacious, welcoming staff and great food / service. The hotel is just up the road from the castle and a short walk into the city centre.
