This was a nice place to stay for a few days, only 15 minutes from Athens, Ohio and 30 minutes to various places in Hocking Hills. It was clean, well furnished and we enjoyed the hot tub.

Clean and spacious
This property was very clean and offered plenty of space, including two full bathrooms. The hot tub was also very clean, but the jets were not entirely functional. A few added amenities such as body wash, hair dryer, a box of facial tissues, and a place to hang clothes in the master bedroom would really up the game. Overall a good stay though.
Husband has been working out of town and He’s in Nelsonville so this perfect for the two of Us.
The Hot tub was an extra surprise. I did not see it listed in the seemed to have a leak of some sort though other than that, the place was very lovely.
Cute place! Would suggest steps with a railing for the hot tub, we were unable to use it because we couldn't get in it. Doors could be a little more sturdy, wouldn't be hard for anyone to break in. Other than those 2 things, we had a good.time, nice quiet area
Overall, the place was very clean and well kept. However, as another reviewer mentioned the beds are not comfortable and not listed correctly in the description. The description shows 2 queen beds, but one is much smaller, probably a full. Both mattresses were quite uncomfortable and springy. The wifi also was very hit or miss which is understandable for the area but 99% of the time it would not connect to the TV. We were pleased and satisfied with the stay overall but the uncomfortable beds would make us think twice about staying again.
The house was nice and comfortable. Location was close to all activities we were doing and was a very reasonable price on a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay again!
Mouse poop in kitchen drawers, dirty toilets, dead bugs all over, unsafe kitchen chairs, hot tub 83 degrees when we arrived. Only 3 chairs for kitchen table even though 4 in advertising photos. When I called about mouse poop they initially only offered to drop off mouse traps. I said someone needed to clean and disinfect. After they “cleaned and sanitized “ there was still poop stuck to inside of kitchen drawers including on silverware. More poop each day indicating active mice. They didn’t bother to vacuum up the bugs (which I also told them about) when they came to clean the poop. They really didn’t seem to care. I was told mice and bugs “nature of the area.” My husband got the hot tub running using AI to figure out the problem. Dead bolts not able to lock with keys and handle lock could easily be picked because door casing cut out around the latch. The AC also did not work but they did come and install 3 window units. Check reviews on Google for 1st Choice Lodging and you will find others with similar experiences. The problems could all be easily fixed in a day if they cared to maintain their property.
There was no central air, it got hot in the house. Opened a few windows and the window sills were nasty with dead bugs. The one bathroom had no hand towels. Had to go to walmart and get some. Wanted to grill out and the burners were all rusted and only had a small section that worked.
Hot tub never got hot… called the office so many times to have nothing solved and was lied to that the maintenance was coming… never did. House was cute, besides our mouse friend that would visit and leave poop in the night. The internet went out every 20 mins..and the house looked vacant because our grass was sooo high. AND the fire pit was a jokeeeee. The grill was hard to light and only one burner lit.. THANK GOD BC I BROUGHT GRILL OUT ITEMS..soooo disappointing, would never stay again…
