"The property is historic, yet well renovated, so we were comfortable. They also provide tea and cups of noodles at no additional cost if guests need a snack. The biggest bonus is that it's a traditional Japanese house in a historic part of town, so staying there is a travel experience in itself. Nestled deep among tall trees, this property felt like a hidden sanctuary with its open air onsen, welcoming staff, and superb dining. Amin was exceptionally helpful during our dinner and the front desk went above and beyond to help us navigate an alternate path back to Tokyo after we found out all trains out of Nagiso were cancelled due to rain.
