Spacious house, great location, worked perfectly for all 10 of us! Loved the fire pit, bonus basement play room, extra seating on deck and tv room! Thank you!
Easy to find the place, Clean, well organized interior and comfortable beds. Will come back again.
9 adults with 1 pet stayed 2 nights and 3days at this property. All of us agreed to come again this place in the future. We enjoyed to have meditations in natural environments. About 20 minutes drive away, we had chance to visit local farm market and to buy fresh corns, fruits and honeycombs.
The house is as advertised. 5 bedrooms so lots of space for family and friends. Great deck for dining outdoors. Sunroom is a great space to hang out, watch TV or read a book. About 5 minute drive to a great coffee shop and a few good restaurants in Narrowburg.
My family of 11 had a great stay here. It was the first time that we were away together in a long time.
The place was clean and inviting. We loved the hostess, she was in communication with us the whole time. She even shared info about pool party in town and provide recommendations for places to eat and activities in which to participate.
We are already try to organize our next stay here.
We enjoyed our stay at the house and found it very roomy.
My son was getting married in Honesdale and needed a pet friendly place to stay close by . We had 9 guest the night of the wedding and it was perfect. My father is 80 so it was great that there was a bedroom on the first floor with a bathroom and easy for him to get around. There was plenary of parking and a large deck to sit on at night and look at the stars. We would definitely go back!
Beautiful calm setting. Nice large backyard and big deck to spread out and relax. The house had plenty of room for a large group to be together and have their own space at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The house itself was very clean and nicely renovated. Kitchen had great appliance. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all in great condition. The only thing we had trouble with was the water temperature and pressure in the showers upstairs which made it difficult to shower. The other problem was that the description and pictures showed a grill on the deck. We had planned our meals thinking that we’ll be able to use the grill. Once we arrived, there were no grill on site which was a little disappointing.
Our family (8 adults and 3 children under 12) stayed at the Blue Hill House during the week between Christmas and New Year's. The house was perfect for spending time with the family! It was SUPER clean, and very well stocked, including paper products, kitchen needs, and towels and linens. There were plenty of extra linens for the air mattress we brought for the youngest of us. There was also plenty of seating around the table for eating or games, and we loved the huge sectional for Jackbox TV games and watching the ball drop! Wifi in the house was excellent, but cell service in the area overall is weak or non-existent, and we even lost GPS a couple times, so pay attention when driving around. The docs in our group appreciated some time "off the grid" when we were out and about, but could still check in back at the house. The house was VERY comfortable for all of us. The bedroom on the first floor has an en suite bath, and four other bedrooms upstairs share two large hall bathrooms. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage, and the beds were comfortable. If you like it dark, though, bring a sleep mask because there are only sheers on the big windows. I was concerned about 9 of us sharing two baths, but it wasn't a problem - plenty of storage in the bathrooms to keep things uncluttered. There are also big mirrors in the bedrooms, so you can do hair and makeup outside of the bathroom, which is very helpful.
As far as the local area, it is sparse. There's a small grocery store, pizza, and Chinese food a couple minutes away, and that was handy. But restaurants seemed to be on a seasonal or holiday schedule and it was hard to find places to eat. Also, local places are small, and even though we called ahead, they seemed to struggle with a group our size. The best experience we had was at a Mexican restaurant called Estelita's. Great food, great margs and fast, friendly service!
There are number of fun things to do not too far away. We took the kids snow tubing in PA, and to the Kartrite indoor water park, both 20-25 mins away. We also made the hour drive to Goshen to visit Legoland, and that was worth the trip. The grown-ups' favorite part, though, was the visit to Bethel Woods to see the Woodstock museum. Fantastic little museum! Don't miss it, especially if you grew up in the 60's/70's!
Overall, a great stay with a great host! You won't be disappointed. Thanks, Maryana!
Maryana was great. The house has a very large spacious deck and the kitchen was really nice. We loved the sun room as well, the couch was super comfy and great for watching movies.
We were pleased with the house. Up to date kitchen and baths were great! Backyard deck was key! Grass was a bit too high in the age of ticks to use the backyard fire pit but it was mowed during the stay. Thanks to the host.
This house was perfect for a couple or a large group. The house was spacious and clean. It included all amenities of home and then some. The host/hostess is friendly and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.
First of all Maryana is a great host and is very responsive and accomodating.
The house was really great and was as described and shown in the pictures. Kitchen was very modern and had all updated appliances and was fully equipped with all sorts of pots, pans and dishes. The deck and the fire pit was great too. The water pressure in one of the upstairs bathroom was an issue for using the main shower but fortunately there was a hand shower too which helped. One thing we missed was not having a usable basement as we had 5 kids and two of our days from 3 night stay got washed away due to rain. But the sunroom was great and TV had all sorts of channels and Netflix etc which helped to keep kids busy.
Overall we had a great time at Blue Hill House.
