We just finished a full re-vamp of the property including new roof, all new flooring, painting, updated bathroom, new decor and games. All pictures are up to date and accurate.

Our home boasts 1 bedroom, featuring a plush queen size bed, fully stocked kitchen, Smart TV to access all your favorite apps, Wifi, air conditioning, propane grill, fire pit and so much more! Bring your canoe, kayak or small fishing boat as the West River boat launch is just across the street and offers some of the best fishing and recreation in the area. Minutes from the Village of Naples, Canandaigua Lake, Finger Lakes Wineries, and Hi Tor Recreational Area for outdoor fun.

Mini Honeymoon Getaway

We stayed here right after our wedding for a mini honeymoon. The location is private and quiet and just a very short drive to downtown Naples. The host were absolutely fabulous and wonderful with communication. We highly recommend!

NYE Nature Getaway

This property was exactly how it was described! Nestled in the hills, super cozy, and welcoming feeling. My partner, pups and I had a lovely time here, hiking, skiing at Bristol Mountain Resort, and enjoying the serene landscape, especially the surprise waterfall in the backyard! The hot tub was an amazing bonus after a long day of skiing. Perfect way to ring in the New Year! We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay

We were in town for a wedding in Naples. The location was super convenient, and the cabin was really nice. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and indoor fireplace. It had a nice kitchen for preparing meals. It felt super private. We can't wait to book again for a relaxing vacation.

Best hideaway getaway

This cabin was exactly what we wanted. A budget-conscious place to disappear from the world and soak in a hot tub for a weekend. Anything else with a tub was twice the price. And this was close to great food right in the village of Naples. We are already discussing booking again.

Trip Back "Home"

Chose this cabin, due to it proximity to my hometown (that I had not been to in 50 years). It was perfect for my 84 year old mother, sister, and myself. We were around an hour away from my home town, Watkins Glen, Letchworth, etc. We had amazing days visiting the sites and could return to a peaceful cabin, relax, and enjoy the hot tub. The views were amazing and the wildlife fun to watch. It was the best trip!

Nature Lover's Cottage

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely, quiet, cozy cottage for 3 nights. We absolutely loved it!!! Had everything we needed, very clean, we had no issues at all whatsoever. Naples is a LOVELY quiet, lowkey town and we found a quiet spot about 20 minutes away to spend a beautiful day at the lake and paddle board (Ontario Beach park). Highly recommend, we had a great experience and we're already looking forward to staying here again next year!! :)

Fall Trip 2023

Location was private and quiet just what we were looking for. Hot tub was a nice bonus. The place could have been cleaner. There was a dirty pan in the oven, coffee maker was broken, pots pans and dishes were mis-matched. The shower head fell off when trying to adjust it and had very poor water flow.

Relaxing stay

We had a great stay at the cottage! It was very clean and the welcoming bottle of wine was such a nice touch. The hot tub was so relaxing and having firewood available was awesome! Hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful. The only thing I would note for any future guests is that the cottage is on well water and had a strong (bad) odor when we stayed. The whole house stunk after a shower. In the welcome email, the hosts made us aware of this and stated that the water was safe, but we made sure to purchase drinking water and would recommend that to other guests as well.

Great for my needs

I would definitely stay here again. The hottub, the arcade cabinet, and the fantastic view from kitchen and living room windows were the highlights. And the owner was fantastic!!! Just note, the cottage is located up a hill so there is really nowhere to take a walk. And some of the interior looks a little old. The bathroom door does not fully close for example and the kitchen cabinets are a little dingy, inside and out. But the price is right for what you get!

Nope.

If you want clear communication and a stress free process, avoid this place. Plenty of beautiful places in the area. Most other property owners may actually send you the address and correct info before the day of your trip... because we had no idea and had to delay our trip. Avoid this!!

Long Weekend Getaway

We had a delightful time during our stay at West River Cottage! It was the first time we traveled with our two Rottweilers and they certainly enjoyed the space with us. Both dogs are 110lbs + and there was plenty of room for them inside and outside. Daily, 2+ mile walks down the driveway and across the street to the NYS hiking trails was a bonus for us! Everything was in working order, and Ian was quick to answer pre trip questions via text message. Reviewing previous reviews kept our expectations in check, but after being there for four days we did feel some were a little bit too harsh. We had a great time and that is all that matters to us! Thank you!

Keep looking if you’re thinking about booking this cabin, we had a pee stained mattress from top to bottom and absolutely no mattress pad!!! just a thin cheap sheet. The carpet is disgusting with filthy stains on the kitchen carpet and bedroom carpet and bathroom rugs were nasty dirty.. Every drawer you opened was dirty the pots and pans filthy had to find towels in a black plastic bag hidden in the closet just very very very unkept.

Needs a little love but not all bad

Not A bad stay with all things said . The property just needs some tender loving care. Internet and dish network work fine , cell phone reception was perfect and hot tub is awesome ! Games and bumper pool are older but work fine , the bumper pool needs a bumper added but was fine to play . The grill outside needs replaced as 2 of the burners are rotted off the back panel and ignitor did not want to work but oven broiler saved the day .Fridge was spotless and countertops very clean . Cupboards need gone through and many items updated . Bed could use a mattress pad but overall very clean and a lot of pillows to choose from . Bathroom was very clean but the sulfur smell was very bad this weekend . Fire pit was left a mess but we did not use it . Overall not a bad stay but a few things need some loved showed to them . Bring bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth. Owner always answered question and left a nice welcome note and surprise . Again not a bad stay just needs a little love showed to property.

Overall good

Arrived a little earlier than check in time and reached out to host to ask it was okay if we checked in early. Never heard back but it didn’t seem like the cleaning people were still there. Had a hard time opening the lock box for the key. Besides that enjoyed our stay and it was nice and quiet despite the road being busy. Would stay again!

The property is very well maintained and was very clean and welcoming. Finding the driveway was a bit of a struggle but the host responded promptly with additional directions. The bed was not very comfortable but the rest of the furiture was nice. The ac was a window unit in the living area which helped maintain a comfortable temp in the location but it struggled to cool the bedroom. Gorgeous property in a stunning area! I only cooked 1 meal but the kitchen was perfect and had the basics I needed.
