"What a find! Nestled off a side street with rooms overlooking Galleria Umberto, Hotel Matilde is a modern gem in an old-style Italian building. The entrance seems a little rough, but don’t let that turn you off. The rooms are extremely well appointed, the location is quiet, the breakfast and service were first rate. I would not recommend this place to people looking for traditional hotel access with drive up access and a doorman. But if you want something unique and boutique, I highly recommend it. "

"This was a quiet retreat from the noise and chaos from the streets of Naples. The rooms were nicely appointed, beds comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and staff very accomodating."

"Quite possibly one of my favorite rooms I've ever stayed in. I was directly in front of castell dell' uovo with a view of Vesuvius mountain and the gorgeous gulfo di Napoli. Stunning photos. The walkway near had everything from restaurants to shopping and so busy with people - great for walking and spending the day!"
