Maison de maitre -river frontage -private heated pool 5 mins walk to the village

"Sarah and Nic are excellent hosts, friendly, informative and although there if needed, they did not invade our time at the Gite. The pool was well kept and the outdoor kitchen was a great added facility that we made good use of. The gite is in extensive grounds with a river to explore at the bottom of the meadow. Although we were 4 adults there was a fence and gate ( that can be locked) for access to the pool should you have little ones with you. The Gite is in an excellent area to explore local village markets and historical sites. A short walk away a the local village with a bar and small grocers. We found everyone to be friendly and helpful with our limited French. The village restaurant is a must visit. Food and wine is reasonably priced and the quality is excellent. It’s open during the day as well as evening and we would suggest booking a table if eating in the evening. Overall we had an excellent relaxing time with everything we needed for a holiday in this area. Top tip: we found the Super U supermarket to have the best selection for a big shop for foods etc. this is about 8 kms away but worth the extra drive - and you get to see more of the area on the Way. Once again - Thank you Sarah and Nic for a brilliant holiday. 😎😁👍"

Spacious farmhouse with pool

"Lovely house for 6 adults and 6 kids. ( Aged 17- just under 1) Lots of space and places to sit inside and out. Good sized pool and lots of toys/ inflatables to use. Slide, swings and trampoline in the garden too. Good sized bed rooms and plenty of outside space. We all had a great time however negatives are that everything is quite dated and a bit tired. Pool lining is wrinkled and was a bit grubby, started going green by the end of our week, the photos are clearly old and make everything look a lot neater. There were a lot of flies everywhere in the house including the kitchen which wasn't great. Fans were provided in each bedroom, but it was very hot in the rooms due to crazy heat wave, so just bear in mind when booking. We had a great time and space and facilities of the house were great, just all a bit tired and could do with a bit of upkeep/ modernization."

"So thankful to find an incredible location and a beautiful place to stay with my husband. Valerie, took good care of us during our time and gave us so much resource of information and especially when I had to find a dentist when my crown fell out. You are in good hands if you stay here and the place had everything that we need for our two week stay and a great place to get to know the neighborhood. Thanks for having us with Jack “The Cat”!"
