Step back in time to 1828 and walk the same halls as Charles Mallory, Mystic’s most prominent shipbuilder (see Mallory buildings and exhibits on display at Mystic Seaport). The Charles Mallory House is a 7 bedroom (sleeps 15), 4.5 bath (3750 sq ft) home located on .65 acre. This newly renovated home was the home of Charles Mallory and his decedents from 1828-2012. Located in historic city centre Mystic, the Charles Mallory Mystic House is ideal for extended/multi-generational family celebrations and reunions. Are you the parent(s) of the bride or groom who is getting married in the surrounding area? Or parent(s) of a Coast Guard student, Connecticut College student, or other academic institution? Leave your car behind as this Greek Revival Home is a 1 block walk to Main Street Mystic, Mystic Green and River, numerous restaurants, bakeries, shops and the infamous Mystic River Bascule Bridge.
Beautiful flower gardens surround the house as well as a front and side porch, a 1,000 sq foot antique bluestone patio with grill, and picturesque 7 foot fountain. An expansive back yard is perfect for your family gatherings or a quiet time to read a book or swing on the tree swing. Two Stand Up Paddle boards (SUPs) that convert into kayaks and 2 kayaks are available for your use. Please note, per recommendation of our insurance company, there are four outdoor surveillance cameras. One camera covers the backyard and carriage house, a second camera covers the driveway and the third camera covers the the patio area. A ring camera is located on the front of the house. There are no cameras located inside our home.

This was such a special place to spend a long weekend with family and friends. The house has so much history and character and is stocked with everything you need. The grounds are lovely and outdoor patio is perfect for outdoor dining. The hosts were friendly and available from the time we booked to the time we checked out. We highly recommend this property!
the house was amazing, such charm, perfect for the chill bachelorette weekend we had. Great location and close to the wineries. The hosts were great to work with, very responsive and even left us home made cookies and wine!
The location meant there were many sites to see within walking distance or a short drive. The home was comfortable and beautiful. The hosts were extremely responsive to messages whenever we had any questions.
We had a great time staying at the Charles Mallory house. Our whole family of 10 from 3-70 really enjoyed everything the house and area had to offer. The owners were above excellent and ready with lots of local information, history, and info about their beautifully restored and loved home.
The house and location were perfect. All the amenities for a wonderful stay, within walking distance of downtown and a short drive to the wedding venue (Inn at Mystic). A great home for the extended family to gather, would highly recommend while staying in Mystic.
The house and the location were excellent. Lynn and Skip could not have been more helpful and made their home more inviting. Everyone really enjoyed our stay. A great home and would highly recommend.
A wonderful historic home for our family reunion and visit to Mystic. The house is charming, comfortable and updated with lots of spaces for large groups. The outdoor space is just lovely and has seating for many. The location is unbeatable-just a few minutes walk into the bustling town center. The hospitality of our hosts was superb!!
We had a lovely stay at this well appointed and comfortable home. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you need. The patio was a wonderful gathering place for our extended family as we gathered for my daughter’s wedding. Walkable to everything downtown Mystic has to offer.

The property was as advertised. Close to everything. Very clean inside and outdoor space was amazing. The owners accommodated an early check in and let us know to reach out if we needed anything. Would highly recommend this property.
We (3 generations of family) came back for a repeat visit to this amazing house. Beautiful space indoors and out, with comfy areas for eating, hanging out and playing games. The location is terrific--walkable to the drawbridge and seaport museum. And communication with the hosts is great--they provided restaurant suggestions and were easy to reach with questions.
Thank you so much for being a great place for our 30th college reunion! The kitchen was a perfect place to gather, and the outside patio and grounds were so inviting and a great place to relax, play games, and laugh around the fire pit. Our group loved every minute at your beautiful property, and hoping to be back next year! Wonderful home and hosts for sure!
A group of friends and family from NJ and Boston stayed as a reunion before the craziness of the holidays. The house, the location, the weather, everything was incredible from start to finish. Just minutes away walking from plenty of restaurants and bars! The hosts came with plenty of recommendations, and helped make our decision for dining for the weekend. Definitely would recommend this property!!
Just stayed at Charles Mallory house for 4 nights with 3 families, that included 6 boys under 5. The house is spacious and clean, with ample towels and a very well stocked kitchen. The backyard was perfect for keeping our kids entertained. We could walk to so many cafes, restaurants, and a playground within just a few min. Would highly recommend this stay!
The house was so welcoming with cookies, water and wine waiting on us. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen at a home we ever stayed. There were plenty of towels and a basket full of blankets to snuggle up with during the chilly evening. The house is in the perfect location for walkable restaurants. We also enjoyed walking to the shops, the Christmas tree lighting and the holiday boat parade. The hosts kept us informed of upcoming events. We had such a great Thanksgiving holiday as 2 families united. We are very thankful for a magical time in Mystic in such a wonderful home with such caring hosts. I highly recommend staying here.
This home is wonderful. It's stately while still being warm and inviting. The grounds are amazing with a charming swing, beautiful patio with a fountain, and lots of space for kids to run and play. The kitchen is stocked, the beds are cozy, and the location is an easy walk to shops and restaurants. The owners are super responsive and even had cookies and spirits for us when we arrived, an unexpected touch. We were a family of 14 and it was perfect. We can't say enough about it. On a scale of 1-10 it's 11. We loved it here.
The Mallory House is perfectly situated-walking distance to downtown with lots of indoor/outdoor space to host large groups. The kitchen was well stocked to handle our family of 14 and there was plenty of room to sit and catch up. Skip and Lynn were incredibly responsive to any questions we had or providing recommendations. I would certainly bring the family back if the opportunity presents itself.
Lovely, lovely renovated 1800 home. Close to town, beaches, restaurants- walking distant! ( Beaches are a drive )Backyard is scenic with nature at its best. Large patio to have friends over for dinner and enjoy being outside. Large, easy kitchen stocked for all your needs. Highly recommend!
Our stay at the Charles Mallory House was absolutely perfect! Our family gathered here for our daughter’s wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful home to share and celebrate the days leading up to and including the big day. The hosts, Lynn and Skip, were incredibly accommodating and provided everything we could have possibly needed. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would—10/10!
This was our second stay at the Charles Mallory House - we love this little town and the house is the perfect size for a large group, perfectly located right near town, and so tastefully restored with real charm. The house was spotless and the beds were SO comfortable. We were so happy to come back for a second year in a row. We had great weather and were able to fully utilize the patio and firepit. We love the Charles Mallory House and can't wait to come back for a 3rd time!
