Myrtlewood Golf Club in South Carolina’s Myrtle Beach has a lot going for it. First, it’s in the heart of the city so you’re never far from other attractions and stores. In addition, it’s located near the Intracoastal Waterway, with boat traffic creating interest. The club also has two courses adjacent to one another with dynamics of their own. Choose which course suits your skill or try playing both.

The Palmetto Course has a traditional design with wide, mounded fairways, large greens and a variety of hazards. PineHills course features smooth, fast putting greens and tight fairways along the Intracoastal Waterway. Both have been renovated using dwarf Bermuda grass.

Leading golf course architects Dan Schlegel and Arthur Hills redesigned the two areas respectively. Stay near your game in a condo rental with outdoor pool, patio grill and beach access.

The Grand Strand’s par-72 Palmetto course is set in a relaxing environment without distraction of a city nearby. It’s a popular location for visitors who return year after year for annual Myrtle Beach golf weeks.

The companion course PineHills features well-designed contoured fairways in its par-72 layout. Practice your stroke on the complex’s driving range and putting green. Enjoy a meal at the club’s restaurant and visit the well-stocked golf shop.

Being so close to the Intracoastal Waterway may entice you do some exploring on the water. Take a sightseeing tour, dinner cruise or fishing charter. Information is available at local marinas. Two outlet malls are located within a 20-minute drive of the club. Another nearby complex, Broadway at the Beach, offers shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
