I have stayed in this room three times. So apparently I am ok with how things are. Although I'm not sure that I will book it again. The room stayed damp feeling the whole time. We didn't leave the door open and we kept the air conditioner on 70 so I am not sure why everything seemed moist or damp. There wasn't a broom. This room has always had a broom. There is no carpet so when you track sand in everyday and no way to sweep it up it gets a little frustrating. We had to keep dusting out feet off to get in the bed. The location is great for us we love the location. The whole complex is dated and needs and update. But this really does not bother us. I'm not sure if smoking weed is legal in South Carolina but it must be at this resort because it has been an issue every time. The room size for me and my husband was perfect but if you have four people staying it will be tight but doable. We booked it through VRBO and they were amazing. We love booking through them they are always kind and helpful. The parking garage is tight as well I drive a civic and it's still tight. Just a heads up if you drive a bigger vehicle you may want to park in the garage across the street. We had a great vacation I just really wanted to be honest about the room. If I'm desperate and can't find anywhere else I will book this one again. I can always overlook some of the things. And just FYI I did not call and complain about anything or give them a chance to fix the dampness or bring me a broom.

We stayed for a few short days and enjoyed our time. There was only a few things we were dissatisfied with during our stay. When we first arrived, the place had no visible but you could feel it under your shoes as you walked. Which of course was like that the whole time. Of course we are at the beach and expected a little but not as much if it was just cleaned. Along with the beds were full sized and with twin sized comforters. It was mismatched. I would highly recommend upgrading the furniture to queens sized with fitting sets. Overall it was a great place on the beach with a great view. They can’t help pool renovations and the little kid splash pad area wasn’t working while we were there. But it was a nice quick trip. Would stay again for another short trip. Definitely not long trip accommodation for 4 adults.

Caravelle needs needs an upgrade

Stay away from this rental company
We checked in at 4 (the check in time) and had an issue with our bedding. I called the number provided to have them tell us they were closed for the day and no one could help us. We then had an issue with the toilet not working and they charged us $50 for the maintenance man to come out “after hours” (we just checked in at the listed check in time) and fix the issue. I called to inquire why we were charged and was told I needed to talk to a manager but there wasn’t one working. This went on for every day of our stay. I would call the receptionist and ask to speak to someone that could help me. They would tell me the manager wasn’t in and no one else could answer my question. I read reviews online and this seems to be common. The location was wonderful but there were many many other places to choose from. Do yourself a favor and pick another rental company ocean breeze vacations does not provide any customer service once they have your money.

Happy we booked through VRBO a few who booked at the resort complained their accommodations were dirty or not what was expected for the price. Our accomodations were exactly as described. I will say the exterior of the building is very lack luster and parking was a challenge,but I would definitely booked this room again.

Small but we made it work
As a family of 4(with a baby and pack n play), we made this work, but initially walking in, we were worried it was going to be too cramped. The pictures definitely make it look a lot bigger than it actually is. Cute little place for the price. Did run into a few more put offs(losing hot water and seeing roaches on the balcony at night), but for the price and location, we weren’t surprised. The view and location was great. Parking was tight as expected from previous reviews. Did have to make the beds ourselves and had to bring toilet paper, and soap. Also had to go and buy a scrubber to wash dishes-no dishwasher.

Overall our stay was good. The location, views, and room itself were nice. But the bed and bedding was horrible. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable probably the worst I’ve ever laid on. The pillows were flat as well. If the beds were upgraded the room would have been a 5. As far as the complex itself, not enough/slow elevators, hard to track down luggage cart, ice machine ran out of ice and parking was a bit stressful in the garage. The property is directly on the beach with easy access which was nice. We did not use the pool area as it was small and packed.

Having to make the beds and fold towels upon arrival after driving 6 hours was a lot considering you call yourselves a resort. The balcony door lock engages when you close the door and we were locked on the balcony for an hour and no one could be reached on-site and they had to send someone from a location 30 minutes away. The parking garage was over crowded despite the requirement of a parking pass. The hallways smelled terrible with big trash cans in the heat on the hallway. It was almost impossible to find a luggage cart because there was no actual place that they are kept. I had to get off at every floor to look for one. Every thing was difficult the pools were so crowded we didn’t even try it. The breakfast was awful, shells in the eggs and everything looked like it had been there a very long time. The elevators were a 15-20 minute wait if you have luggage. The bottom line is the customer service on-site was non existent. There didn’t seem to be a basic level of care on the property. I realize that this was a lower cost place, but 2 months ago we stayed at Roxanne towers and had a wonderful experience for the same price. I was so disappointed at every turn with this property.

The room was small and over priced. I ended up purchasing a second room from the resort directly and paid less per night than the rate I paid for this room. Two grown adults on a full bed wasn’t pretty. FYI There is no washer or dryer in the unit.
