The property is very beautiful. We didn't realize you had rooms with airconditioning but in Switzerland people don't typically ask. The fan in the room did OK. Your front desk help us with the bus tickets for the time we were in Bern, such a wonderful convienence. We enjoyed your breakfest each morning. I think you need a non-smoking are outside for dinner as my wife doesn't do well with smoke. Loved the hotel and your staff.

The hotel was lovely with really good staff who were really helpful and gave good advice on public transport etc. The menu was good and we found it easy to pick things to our taste. The afternoon sorbets and coffee were brilliant.

we had a roof unit without air conditioning. we were above the restaraunt facing the street. it was to hot to vlose the window and so noisy with it ooen we could not get to sleep.

It is right off the tram / bus route, making it very easy to explore Bern without being right in town. Nice hotel, clean rooms and the restaurant seemed to be well visited.

Nice Swiss hotel
Nice Swiss style hotel outside Bern. The service was great, reception staff very helpful & nice. The stay includes free parking at the hotel premises & public transport is just in front of the hotel (also you can get a free transport ticket for all of Bern). The restaurant food is good, big portions.

Extremely over-priced, extremely over-rated
The pictures on the website are not reflective of reality. The rooms are dated and not very clean. The rooms are also disappointingly small. The furnishings are not comfortable (1 terrible fake leather arm chair not made for sitting in, and a broken down desk and chair, as well as a very ugly cupboard looking like no-one wanted it from the side of the road). There was a terrible smell in our bathroom, and the the bathroom is tiny. Furthermore, despite the misleading impression on the photos, this hotel is not surrounded by greenery nor quiet. It is surrounded by 2 busy roads and the rooms look directly over the road and tracks. If all of this cost a budget price.... why not. The problem is, at this price, this hotel is sheer and utter robbery. Far too expensive for the lack of comfort and quality. There is no possible way this hotel can claim 4 stars. It would be a medium 3 star at best. Stay here at your own risk and peril.

Disappointing front desk service
I reported that my room was smelly (as if a cat entered the room; possibly from the balcony?!) and that for that reason I did not sleep. What I got in return was a simple ‘sorry’!that’s a very bad front desk service. If I were them I would have suggested a discount (e.g. no parking or no breakfast fees?!)

Perfect location to visit Bern
This hotel has a wonderful little garden with flowers right in front of it. A tram and bus station is right opposite of the hotels main entrance door. You will get a free daily city tour ticket from hotel staff as long as you stay there. Breakfast and dinner was absolutely superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. I will always return to the same place while visiting Bern. Bring a good friend with you, because the TV- channels offered are really mad.

worth a great review
Great hotel and friendly people. The weather is unbelievably hot and the room is not air-conditioned but there was a fan in the room and overnight it cooled a bit. Great location for visiting the old town on the #6 tram right next to the hotel.

A good stay
Great service, comfortable room. Even though the location is a little bit far from the city center, the hotel tries to make it up by offering free bus passes. Tram #6 takes you directly to the city center from the hotel.

Close to the tram which took us to city center where there is a LOT to do. We also took the tram away from the tram and enjoyed hikes in the forest with spectacular views of the Alps.

Excellent location , big airy room, but high bath tub to climb into. Restaurant on premise good but service was lacking. Delivered food and didn’t see him again until we asked for bill. Section we were I was virtually empty. Parking in site good and free bus passes to go downtown. Free water, apple s and chocolate in room.

Really happy with everything. Room size more than adequate. Bathroom facilities above reproach. Clean. Spotless. Nothing in need of repair or maintenance. An amazingly relaxing environment. Beautiful City. Trams and bikes. The way forward for the world.

Late, early a.m. arrival good but was told by night porter that breakfast served until 10.30am so arrived at 10.15am to be told breakfast finished at 10.00am weekdays. TV not good and only 1 channel working. Good room with wooden beam feature. Underground car park good with automatic doors opening into hotel.

Everything about the hotel was excellent except the noise level: The room was hot, so the windows had to be opened to let in cool air. The Tram line is right outside, running down a major road. So every 10 minutes or so a tram would go by. Also a lot of loud cars and motorcycles.

Excellent, will come back. Out of the city but a good location, the hotel provided a tram pass free of charge. Customer service very good in al areas of the hotel.
