Utilitarian apartment; great location

The apartment is in a fantastic location and we were happy there. That said, furnishings and decor were basic. Thin, rough bedding and towels. Lumpy pillows.

Munich stay

Everything was fine. I had a problem with my Wi-Fi service once I landed in Germany, so it was very difficult to access or download the welcome video from our host. That meant there was much confusion trying to access the information code to get in! I would have like to receive that information 24 hours prior to arrival, that would have allowed me to have all the information I needed instead of trying to get in only 3 hours before check in when my Wi-Fi was not sufficient Everything else about the location and apartment was fine

Prime location in the heart of it all

This was such a great location. A few minute walk to so many attractions. The space was great for our family of 5. The two bedrooms had more than enough beds to keep everyone comfortable. Check-in and communication with the property manager was smooth. We would definitely recommend.

Munich

Great location. Unfortunately no parking, so had to part near opera (over 120 E for two days). But knew upfront and very helpful in giving us website re: parking websites. Dirty fridge. Musty/sour smell in stairwell. No smell in apartment. No AC, but two fans and still had to keep windows open due to very hot and humid temps. Called concerning no hot water in shower one day and was fixed by the time we came back in the afternoon.

Location, location!

Overall amazing stay given the central location. Host was very responsive. No shampoo or soap as indicated in listing. And we had a fury friend—a mouse. Towels and cleanliness could be improved upon IMO! Kitchen instruments sparse, but great coffee maker.

Poor hygiene and poor quality.

This property presented itself quite favorably online. The property is situated nicely in the Marienplatz. However, the property was not clean when we arrived. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. They provided 3 towels for a family of 5. The sheets MAY not have been clean. The hot water to the one bathroom wasn’t working, and the shower was draining VERY slowly. It took 24 hours to resolve the bathroom issue and to receive fresh linens. The apartment was of poor quality, and it was not well appointed. We couldn’t wait to leave the place. If we could have found other accommodations we would have left regardless of whether we could get a refund. It was THAT bad. The apartment sits atop an Asian restaurant with the smells of MSG permeating the stairwell on the way to and from the apartment.

Very central, a bit basic, some imperfections

Overall our stay was ok. The location is truly unbeatable. Around the corner of Munich’s city hall at Marienplatz. Check-in and communication with the host was good. The place is spacious with a large living room and 2 large bedrooms. The bathroom is small and I wonder how you would organize with 5 or more people in the place (sleeps 14 theoretically?). The place was clean-ish on arrival but not squeaky clean, some spots on the coffee table for example, floors not super clean (not wiped?), dinning table not really clean. Also something had run out in the fridge that wasn’t cleaned up. The fridge needed to be defrosted badly. The furniture is good and sufficient but very basic, all IKEA. The condition of the place is OK but not flawless, there are small repairs needed here and there, eg a gap in the hardwood floors to fix, floating bookshelves that are not straight anymore. Two ikea wardrobes are not attached to the wall (scary with small kids…). Also the bedding just didn’t smell fresh. Either they don’t use enough detergent or the inlets need to be washed. All in all just not flawless. We also thought the place had AC, somehow we got that wrong as it didn’t seem to be stated in the property description, so that’s on us. I was drawn between overall 3 or 4 stars, but gave it 4 because of the location, and host communication.
