Only gripe would be that the parking felt limited as it is shared with the surrounding golf course and other amenities "

town is super cute and one of the examples of "Fachwerk" houses I have seen in Germany. Also steeped in history. The castle was a seat of one of the most important rulers of Germany. Definitely worth a visit and overnight stay. Great dinner options in the old town center."

"Excellent beds, solid mattresses and breakfast is generous and delicious. They even have pancakes and sausages. I booked this place mainly because of the access to the pools next door (RapSoDie) which is now, unfortunately, closed for reconstruction. "The hotel is located in the centre of a commercial area. This means that there are plenty of shopping facilities just a few metres away. The rooms are clean and very new, as they have just been renovated, and the room also had a fridge. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work. The reception was friendly and check-in was quick and easy. As the hotel is right next to a McDonald's it can get very noisy, so always make sure you get a quiet room at the back. The parking situation is not easy as there are very few free parking spaces, otherwise the hotel has an underground car park for €10 per night."
"Great overnight stay - lovely hotel, friendly, clean, good facilities including a super pool.
Only issue is that we booked a half board package through hotels.com. Our evening meal was booked at a restaurant a 20 minute walk away. This turned out to be an uphill walk through vineyards to a fort at the top of the town. Our meal was in the cafe - wooden tables, plastic chairs, no atmosphere and only one other couple who were about to leave. Apparently there was a restaurant downstairs but that was laid up for an event the following day. So we returned to the hotel and requested to be seated in their restaurant which duly happened and we had a very enjoyable meal."
"Everything was wonderful, from the hotel location near the convenient town center and train station. All main activities including the Audi Forum were at less than 5 minutes walking distance. Breakfast was excellent, with great quality and variety of hot/cold food and continental or typical German items to try, fresh fruit and great coffee. I was really impressed. Only a minor comment on the bedding since the mattress cover seemed made of synthetic material and not m breathable, which made sleeping a bit warm and uncomfortable at times. Other than that I can only say I would go back to the Welcome hotel any time I get the chance. "
