Bei einem morgendlichen Kaffee auf dem Balkon, konnte man weit über die Felder und den angrenzenden Wald blicken, während unzählige Meisen und Eichelhäher ein Konzert gaben. Dies war nicht der einzige tolle Moment in dieser Ferienwohnung im schönen Nordhalben. Wir kommen gerne wieder."

"Der Urlaub war sehr ruhig. Das Haus klein und gemütlich und sauber. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr gut. Der Park war ebenfalls sauber. Leider war der Badesee kleiner als gedacht und in der näheren Umgebung ist es sehr sehr ruhig. Mit Tagestouren kann man den Urlaub gut aufpeppeln."

Wir kennen die Gegend und haben Verwandte dort, entsprechend suchten wir etwas passendes an dieser wunderschönen Talsperre. "I recently stayed at Hotel Adler in Rudolstadt and was impressed by its unbeatable location—right in the city center, just steps from the main square, the train station, and the stunning baroque Heidecksburg Castle. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building dating back to 1880, which adds a lot of character and charm to the experience. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the style of the period while still offering modern comfort. There is parking available, which is a great convenience if you’re traveling by car. One downside is that the rooms are not air-conditioned, which can be a bit uncomfortable in hot weather. However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. Overall, Hotel Adler is a great choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere with character and a central location in Rudolstadt."

Schloss Weissenburg - misleading pictures

"I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. The service was friendly at breakfast & that’s my reason for ranking this at okay. The lady was lovely & made our start to each day a pleasant one ."

"The spa, gym, and lake views are excellent. The hotel has a very 90's feel and no room service (this was a bummer as we had a lake view room and wanted to stay in and relax). The beirgarten by the water has excellent food, although it closes at 930pm (as does the only restaurant on site (a buffet). The place was comfortable for 1 dayx the lake location and sauna were exactly what we wanted"
