The rooms are rundown and dirty. Our bed had dog hair (we didn’t have a dog) and sand in it before we had even been to the beach. The pool and hot in were out of service so I felt the price was high considering.

Smelly

The room smelled musty, we had to have the door open to air it out after we checked in. Pillows smelled, no refrigerator in room and it said it had one. Needs to be updated. Deck and stairs need replaced, no handicap parking. I don’t think we'll be back.

There are no three-prong plugs in the living area to set up a computer for work. Our power popped off while blow dryer was going and microwave was in use. Not enough blankets on bed to sleep well. Check in/out was friendly. Left a day early to avoid staying our last night.

Outdated and uncomfortable beds, but clean and decently maintained. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Parking was a breeze. There were just a few issues with the maintenance side of things which barely impacted us.

This hotel is not fancy, but it is quiet and the staff are nice. The rooms are big and the water pressure is good, but the details are missing. For instance there is no art on the walls. Or dustcover blanket on the bed, the curtains block out light, but they don’t go with the room, and the bath towels were tiny. It was clean, the bed was average, the heater worked, cable package was decent, the continental breakfast was average and we were not charged any strange charges. A mini fridge would be really great, but other than that it was good value. Staff were really nice 🙂

Bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff. However, room needs some updates. There were no outlets anywhere near the bed for CPAPs (if you need one) , charging phones, etc. And for some weird reason, hot water came out of the cold tap and it had to run for a few minutes before I could get cold water.

Adequate

Our Islands Inn room was clean, though very "used" and in need of updating. Because it was clean we stayed, but wondered as we checked in if we were going to. The pictures online were out-dated. The pool and hot tub were closed w/posted notice from the city that it was unfit for use. The second floor room was reached by climbing a less-than-sturdy stair well and deck. Our towels were small, scratchy, and unabsorbent. All that said, our king bed was comfortable and we were surprised at how quiet it was so close to the main road. The front desk people were polite, efficient. We were given clean (scratchy) towels one day, apparently forgotten the second. Probably would look elsewhere if we were to return, but wouldn't be 100% disappointed if it was the only thing available. A good make-over and the place would come back to life.

This property was old and stinky. I thought oh well, my bad not doing more research, at least it was clean-ish and we didn’t have any other option. It got worse. We were charged $100 deposit upon check in, then received an email after checkout accusing us of having a dog in the room and declaring they were keeping the deposit. The breakfast spread was literally bread, butter and a toaster.

I have stayed here for years. A few years ago it was sold. The previous owner put so much attention to detail and care into the space. It's just not loved in the same way anymore.

Islands Inn looks "NOTHING" like the photos on the EXPEDIA website!!!! This Property is Rundown on the outside.....the stairs up to the second floor rooms are in need of repair and paint. When we entered our room I was in disbelief.....old green torn stained carpet greeted us. The smell of OLD & MUSTY.....almost cried!! Pool was shut down for repairs.

We had central air which most places didn't have. We also had a couple of bikes which got used every day. It was located close to the pool and Bend for shopping and restaurants. The unit could use an uplift in the furnishings.

A place to sleep

It was comfortable enough and served the purpose, only place we could get at the time. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's not in great shape but it's clean. Breakfast was pretty poor, we went to Mary's Kitchen instead the second night. They use actual keys, like physical metal key. The murphy bed was cool, The fridge froze my coke, so it definitely worked.

Property was clean friendly and quiet. I recommend bringing your own pillows. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were small and very lumpy and flat.

Perfect for our needs

We liked this hotel well enough to stay a second night. Plenty of room, plenty of outlets, comfy bed and pillows, spacious bathroom, and everything in working order. The owner was flexible about putting us on the ground floor as we asked, snd he went out of his way to arrange for us to keep the same room for a second night. A very good experience.

Advertised amenities where not even remotely available. Bathroom was filthy with long hair dried to the shower wall. Front desk was totally indifferent to the situation with a blank stare.
