"Our second time at the Bay Leaf on our trip to the Andaman Islands.
We found the BL to be a modern well run hotel and a good central location.
We stayed in two types of rooms we found both to be of a good standard.
Eg: comfortable beds, clean well maintained bathrooms and good AC/Fans.
The rooftop restaurant /Bar is a nice place to eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail overlooking Port Blair, once again we found the level of service excellent.
Probably the best accommodation we have found on this...

"It was comfortable located just opposite the airport. Eateries are nearby and the tourist attractions are only a few km away. Rooms were compact and clean. Breakfast was excellent, can't be better! Would love to stay again!"

"The hotel was a big disappointment. We stayed here for 1 night and had booked 3 rooms. There was no ventilation in the rooms and all the rooms were smelly. There were also cockroaches in the rooms. When we complained no action was taken. The hotel is family run and the hotel staff is highly unprofessional. The hotel also refused to accept credit card payment and we had to run around for an ATM. All in all for the hefty price we paid - this hotel was a big rip off."

"What we did not like was that the hotel looked good on the expedia website but the reality was very different. The entrance was very depressing and at night was not lit at all. You needed a torch to find your way. Room was big but was not very clean. We even had an additional guest. A cockroach! The hotel is overpriced for what it provides."

"First romantic holiday with my partner, spent £130+ on the valentine room. The whole hotel was filthy and staff extremely unhelpful. The room was VERY dirty, finger marks all over the mirrors and windows, dirt on the back of doors, a mushroom growing out of the mirror!!! The wardrobe door didn't open so no place to store clothes the blinds out of the balcony type seating area did not open, the shower dribbled and the water was freezing!
The hotel had 2 'restaurants' stating they serve separate cuisine. The menus are identical. Food over the tables and floors, windows filthy with smear marks and food splatters, the pool was dirty so couldn't swim and there were 2 sad looking lounge chairs beside which were both ripped up and battered. I felt dirty staying at this hotel and it is a shame as was really looking forward to do., and the price I paid was unacceptable. The reception staff had no clue what was going on and couldn't help us in regards to getting to the ferry port, so ended up walking 45 minutes in 30 degree heat with 2 suitcases.
I will be putting forward for compensation as our stay was poor.
I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. "
"I found Supreme Palace to be all I needed while spending a week in Port Blair. The staff were extremely polite and respectful. Nothing that I asked for was refused and they were concerned about my plans for daytime activities. The hotel though not near the centre is not too far away that you can’t walk to the bazaar. Transportation can be accommodated if you either want to talk tours or drive yourself by car or motor scooter. "
