On the northwest coast of Sao Miguel in the Azores lies the tiny fishing town of Mosteiros. This place is actually a popular spot for more skilled local surfers and is a great spot to savor local dishes like octopus. The Azores is a special place but is being affected by growing tourism and trash on the beaches. I helped my surfer friend take some photos of the problem on one of the beaches so he could raise awareness with local authorities. #TroverRT
