La Ferme à Mamy is a stunningly restored 18th savoyarde farmhouse in the centre of Morzine, run by Amy and Owen at Snowy Trees. From the slate floors, exposed timber beams, characterful doors and nooks, and weathered stone walls, you won't find another place like it for your holiday in the incredible Portes du Soleil.
In one of the older parts of town, La Ferme à Mamy is a unique blend of old-world charm and modern-day luxury, with an easy 4-minute walk to the centre of Morzine and its ski lifts.
Offered on a self-catered basis, we can match you up with the excellent chefs we have worked with for more than 10 years. This way, you can hire in based on your preferences, from restaurant-standard meals to be re-heated with simple instructions, to catering for just a few days or a special occasion, to fully serviced à la carte dining with wine and champagne.
The adults will love the short (4 minutes), easy and flat walk into town, two separate living areas, spacious and sound-proofed ensuite bedrooms with lots of storage, the incredible quiet once you are inside the thick stone walls, the view of the Pléney and the mountains from the hot tub, the luxury of the indoor sauna, and the masses of storage for all the sports gear you could ever imagine needing for your holiday here. If you plan to work during your stay, there is high speed Starlink Wifi throughout the chalet and desks in some of the bedrooms.
The children will love the upstairs bedroom with the 'hobbit' door, the separate living areas, the table football, table tennis and games, the magic of the huge wooden sleigh in the loft, and the enormous space available for hide and seek.
Bedrooms
Sleeping up to 15 in 7 generously proportioned ensuite bedrooms. Each room has plenty of storage, comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. All of the rooms can be configured as twins or doubles, and there are three family rooms, making the chalet perfect for multi-generational or multi-family groups. The thick internal and external walls mean a beautifully restful night's sleep, too.
Living Areas
Inside, generous yet cosy spaces provide options for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day in the mountains. There are two living areas: one with a wood-burning stove and another set up as a TV lounge, perfect for children or film nights.
Kitchen, utility and chef options
The well-stocked kitchen is separate from the living areas, so you can close it off once you're finished for the day and keep little ones out if needed. If you prefer to hire a chef, we will provide you with recommendations of people we trust. A separate utility room houses a large freestanding fridge and freezer, as well as a washing machine, tumble dryer, and a small clothes drying area.
Peace and quiet
The thick stone walls inside and out provide lots of insulation for sound - meaning both early risers and late-night talkers won't disturb anyone.
Outside
In summer, enjoy the outdoor patio with a BBQ and picnic bench ideal for bright morning breakfasts and long lunches away from the summer heat. The outdoor hot tub offers a view of the mountains surrounding the Pléney, while the indoor sauna provides extra warmth and relaxation after active days.
Access to Morzine
The chalet is located in central Morzine, nestled in amongst some beautiful savoyarde buildings. To get to the ski lifts you have the option of a 4-minute flat walk to the bridge for the Super Morzine ski lift. Or, you can walk a couple of minutes to the main road and hop on the free bus.
Parking & Storage
The chalet is set up for adventure: there’s a large garage area for securely storing skis, snowboards or bikes. Boot warmers mean that you start the day off with dry, warm feet, and there is enough outside parking space to fit four cars.
