Horse & Garden Farmstay: Rustic Meets Regenerative

Welcome to Horse & Garden Farm stay, a peaceful sanctuary tucked into five wild acres in Morriston, Florida. Here, old oaks stretch overhead, native wildlife moves quietly through the land, and guests can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with what matters.

Inside, you’ll find a bright, thoughtfully designed home with cozy furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, a welcoming coffee bar, and restful bedrooms that feel like a soft exhale. Outside, the land tells its own story — from the native plant gardens to the gentle presence of our wild gopher tortoises, a protected keystone species who have lived here long before us.

Our location is one of the most extraordinary parts of your stay. We are surrounded by some of Florida’s most iconic natural wonders:

Devil’s Den Spring and Blue Grotto — world‑famous for snorkeling and diving

Rainbow Springs — crystal‑clear waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, and tubing

Crystal River — home to the gentle manatees, with guided tours where you can swim alongside them

Goethe State Forest — directly across the street, offering miles of shaded trails, wildlife viewing, and a beautifully designed trailhead just minutes away

For equestrian guests, we are ideally situated:

HITS and the World Equestrian Center are a short drive away

Black Prong Equestrian Village is just down the road, offering trail rides, carriage rides through the oak forests, and an excellent restaurant and bar

Whether you’re here for horses, springs, forests, or simply the quiet, Horse & Garden Farm stay offers a rare blend of comfort, nature, and serenity. This is a place where wildlife is honored, where mornings begin with birdsong, and where every sunrise feels like a fresh beginning.

Come experience a stay where the land welcomes you, the oaks shelter you, and the rhythm of nature invites you to slow down and simply be.

What an amazing place! We came down as a group to get scuba certified at the Blue Grotto and needed a place to stay for the night. Kimberly was a great host and had great communication. The place is very clean and brand new. Having coffee on the back patio listening to the birds was a great way to start the day before our final dives. Our instructor has now favorited her place so he can try to use it every time he comes down. Will stay here again if we come back for more diving. Thanks for everything Kimberly!

We only stayed the night after visiting Kirby's Family Farm. The beds & pillows were so soft and relaxing. It also had a gas fire table which the girls & I enjoyed and walked around the yard & found an old and new gopher tortoise holes by the back metal fence. It has a fence on either side of house mad out of cut trees on the property giving it a country look. It is a work in progress but still would HIGHLY staying there. Did not get any pictures but it is exactly like the pictures posted on this site. Thank you again Kim for allowing guest to stay in such a quiet & comfortable home with great commendations.
