"Been here a few times and we love it. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the place in general is always clean. The breakfasts are spot on and the bar and rooms are dog friendly. The view over the hills from the Beer Garden is outstanding. There is also multiple different paths for dog walking nearby. There isn't loads to do in the village but if you're looking for peace & quiet, you'll definitely find it here, although Rothbury is just a couple of miles down the road. The only downside is that the Garden Room needs some kind of a canopy to protect the patio from high winds when sitting outside on sunny days. The Garden Room could also do with some blinds to allow light in but to also remain private from people walking around the garden, rather than having to close the blackout curtains. Some outside seating areas are in need of repair and most of them need a new lick of paint/varnish. To reiterate, this place is lovely, just needs a tiny bit more attention to the cosmetic side. I've no doubt if you visit, you won't be disappointed :-)"

"Enjoyed a 2 night stay, although room was a bit snug, it was clean and comfortable and had full length mirror and plenty of plug sockets which is always good. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a few drinks in the bar. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from ... delicious fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal and cereal bars, every spread you could think of for toast and the cooked breakfast was really tasty, again with lots of choice. We would happily stay again if visiting Amble in the future 😊"

"Very clean and spacious bedrooms however they use an air vacuum toilet system which it was acknowledged to me was useless. I used the pub toilet at times because of continual blockages. That’s dreadful. It is a pub and was very good with pleasant staff. The breakfast was limited to usual hot food, except only fried eggs, limited continental breakfast. We had one evening meal and not brilliant however the fish restaurants in Amble compensate. Parking is good and plentiful on-site. The pub is difficult to find using a car satnav but ok if you use Google. Apparently the pub has been there 3 years and many satnavs don’t recognise the estate it’s on."

"Had a fabulous stay the bed was super comfortable and the bedding was really nice. I'd booked a double ensuite room and the member of staff gave me the option of a room with a shower over a bath or a stand alone shower cubicle which was nice. Overall had a great stay"

"Wonderful stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, teas/ coffees and fresh milk in the fridge. We had a meal there in the evening which was superb! Full Northumbrian breakfast the next morning which was delicious 10/10"
