Private Beach House on Casuarina Bonefish Beach with Motorboat for Rent
10/10 Excellent
"The house is very nice and John the caretaker is amazing. We enjoyed using the boat to get out to see the starfish and to snorkel the reefs. It's really a deserted paradise beach, which we enjoy."
"This property exceeded our expectations and was even better than the pictures! All four bedrooms were beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, and the living area and outdoor porch quickly became our favorite gathering spaces. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware, and appliances, and we especially appreciated the large refrigerator. The laundry room was another pleasant surprise, containing two large tubs filled with floats, beach toys, fishing gear, snorkeling equipment, and other items that made our stay even more enjoyable. The location was absolutely incredible. We saw sea turtles every single day, along with starfish, stingrays, and even found sand dollars. The paddleboards were fantastic. During low tide, we could paddle more than 500 yards straight out from the house and still be in water no deeper than waist level. Our bonefishing and snorkeling excursions were unforgettable. We caught fish for dinner on multiple nights, and the grouper was especially delicious. The snorkeling was amazing, with beautiful coral and colorful fish located within sight of the house. Donāt miss the nearby Blue Hole. Itās close to the property and absolutely stunning. One of the things we loved most was how private the beach felt. Most of the neighboring homes are occupied by full-time residents who are at work during the day, so it often felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves."
Reef House Abaco - Tranquil Beach Retreat Perfect for Large Groups
10/10 Excellent
"I travel extensively using VRBO. The Reef House was perfect for our group of eight adults! The largest problem was getting the group to leave to see places on the island. Why leave a place that has it all, best secluded beach, pool, hot tub, games and of course, rum punch! Host always answered phone and owner was very accommodating when requesting extra day! 10 out of 10!"
"House has a great layout for a larger group. One of the most well equipped kitchen that I've ever experienced in a rental house. Views from the front porch are amazing - you look right out over the water. A little south of town, but provided some much appreciated solitude and quiet. Host was both responsive and helpful in terms of providing recommendations for the area. One member of our party is already planning a return trip to this property. "
"The website doesn't do this justice. The accomodations are top-notch, and Donna the hostess, is incredibly helpful for guiding you to various activities. Best location in Casuarina Point for adventuring. Some highlights of activities: Having our own boat out the back door. Long walks on a beautiful beach. Superlative flyfishing for bonefish with Marty Sawyer out of Cherokee. Visiting with a local Manatee. Snorkeling, fishing, and lobstering with Walker Wong from Casuarina Point. Thanksgiving lobster dinner delivered to our house at an incredibly reasonable price. Wade-fishing the flat in front of our VRBO for one of the biggest bonefish I've caught. "
The best area to stay on Mores Island is the area around Mores Island Settlement, which is the main hub on the island.
This small settlement is the heart of Mores Island, offering the most convenient access to local amenities and the island's natural beauty. It's where you'll find the primary dock for ferries and fishing charters, as well as the few local shops and eateries. The settlement is relatively compact, making it easy to get around on foot or by golf buggy, and it provides direct access to some of the island's more accessible beaches.
Couples looking for a quiet and romantic escape will find Mores Island Settlement ideal. You'll be able to enjoy peaceful strolls along the shoreline, dine at local establishments, and easily arrange boat trips to explore secluded cays or go snorkelling in the clear waters. The unhurried pace of life here is superb for unwinding.
For travellers interested in fishing and water activities, staying near Mores Island Settlement is also the most practical choice.
