"A lovely couple of nights, and we now hope to return in the future for a longer stay. All the staff, in reception and bar / restaurant were very friendly and professional. Food was delicious. The area at the lakeside is stunning where you can watch both wildlife and water sports. The studio lodge was very comfortable and well appointed with sitting area and small kitchen. A bus stop is at the entrance to the site with regular buses between Lancaster and Kendal and I believe onto Windamere "

"Clean, comfortable rooms with friendly staff and a delicious variety of options for breakfast. We had a great experience with the spa services and greatly enjoyed our stay! One downside is that there’s no on site parking and the two nearby lots fill up extremely quickly so parking on the street becomes necessary. Make sure to move your car in accordance with signs. "

"Absolutely stunning views from the room. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate a different room for my 1 year old son. I was given a room with a 4 poster bed and requested one without this. The manager showed me 3 different rooms one of which was a family room (even though I only booked a double room) just to cater to my request. She was patient and allowed me to choose a room I ended up going with the original room given to me as the views were beautiful and not once was she annoyed. She was patient and asked for housekeeping to attend and do up the sofa bed. Overall staff were lovely. This was a last minute stay and I would definitely return and recommend to friends and family "

"Good hotel. Nice walk behind hotel to centre of lancaster. Takes about 40 mins but like walking and weather was lovely so suited us fine. Complimentary water, juice, crisps and choc biscuits in fridge which was nice touch. Good breakfast. Overall enjoyable stay."
