"It is a budget hotel, so don't expect much. It is convenient to the train station. The entry and lounge are very nice. The exterior looks inviting. "Having requested a superior room with a good view, we were bowled over by the incredible views over the pool golf course and miles of countryside from the full length full height opening picture window all along one side of the room. "The couple who run the hotel were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but a great shame we couldn't access the internet anywhere in the hotel, or indeed in a brasserie on the town square. Room was an odd shape and rather cramped. Bathroom needed some refurbishment. Quiet and okay for an overnight stop. Avoid the restaurant which was very reasonable but produced 2 meals which had dried out meat and inedible mushy vegetables."

"We really did love this hotel. It had a lot of character and history. The staff were so friendly and kind. The A/C was very nice and really needed since it was a 103 degrees. It was great for one night. The restaurant downstairs is excellent and highly recommend. They provide ear plugs and it is much needed. Not sure what party was going on in the hotel but very difficult to sleep through. We stayed on a Saturday so that might be why. It went on all night. The breakfast was delicious and so worth it. "
