"You need to be prepared for primitive housing, the cabins are older and electrical wiring is older so you don't have small refrigerator or coffee maker. However I stayed in Antelope 4, there are four cabins grouped together 1-4 they have windows that t look out on the corral of horses. It it quite a site seeing 50-60 horses milling about either saddled and waiting for riders or the groups that come out pretty often in summer and its fun to watch that. Although the price is high I will go back as it was just a therapuetic thing to watch the horses unplugged in the cabin....it really helps you cut the cord..they did have wi-fi which i thought was pretty good.
I missed the wrangle, did not know what it was. Found a video online, and its surreal, I will go back next year to see this, 50 horses running not something you see everyday."
"I stayed with family and kids.
It was nice and clean room. Staff were helpful. It is inside the park.
Dining option is very near the hotel, it need reservation for dinner."
"I was very impressed with my entire experience at Colter Bay Village. The cabin was adorable, clean and had a better bathroom than I expected. We loved the general store and gift shop (although prices were higher than some of the other gift shops in the area). My boys loved the food at the Chuckwagon restaurant. We also had an amazing experience on the Breakfast Cruise to Elk Island. The captain and first mate were so personable and funny and really connected with the visitors. The views were amazing and the breakfast was yummy! They even had hot chocolate for the kids and coffee made over the fire for the adults! My husband used the laundromat and was able to access internet while waiting on the laundry.
We can't wait to save up for another trip and we will definitely stay in Colter Bay. It's close enough to the south entrance of Yellowstone that you can really see both YNP and GTNP while staying in the village."
