We chose to stay in a non-hotel area and the Loft Jacques-Cartier apartment was perfect. Very much a neighborhood! Nice place. Super clean. Modern touches inside a historic building. Super comfortable. Parc La Fontaine is 1 block away. Rue Mont Royal just few streets away. Supermarket and convenience store around the corner. Lots of construction and a bit of graffiti were the only things that downgraded the area but the pros outweighed the cons. Will stay here again!

An extremely pleasant surprise!!!!!
I normally stay at Major Hotel Chains such as Hilton but wanted to try a different approach. It turned out excellent. I didn’t have to pay for parking . The one bedroom suite was extremely clean and well kept . Our host was excellent, kind and attentive. This place was 10/10 . Quiet . It felt like a second Honeymoon. I will definitely be going back . We parked the car and walked downtown everyday as it was close by . It was a comfortable and safe walk with beautiful parks and people to meet . Can’t wait to go back and stay at the Lofts .

A wonderful apartment to explore Montreal and the surrounding area. The parking makes it so easy if you are coming with a car. And of course Mio is so sweet and kind and takes such good care of you!

The apartment is huge and is super clean. There is plenty of hot water and the shower is large. The towels and bed linens are very fresh and new. The pictures are very accurate. It is well equipped and has a nice little balcony at the back where we ate breakfast every morning. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries, and is located in a very nice neighbourhood. There are several BIXI bike locations nearby. Mio is very friendly and a wonderful host. She was really helpful and booked a taxi for us on the day of our departure. We stayed for 7 nights and everything was perfect !! We would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again !

This place is clearly designed for couples with it's one bedroom, but because it is designed for couples, it's full of nice things. Owner clearly has the designer touch with nice fixtures and a very charming and comfortable setting. The area is a short walk from all the good things Montreal has to offer. The owners clearly take great pride in the presentation. They also made it very easy to check in, park etc. Super friendly and they live on sight. Once inside, you have everything you need including a well equipped kitchen and new appliances. Comfortable bed and a very high end hotel worthy bathroom. You can sit outside in front or on a small terrace at the rear. There are stores just steps away. This is a great taste in what it's like to live in one of Montreal's nicest neighbourhoods. Liked it so much we booked again :)

Modern Elegance in a Beautiful Historical Building
A beautiful modern suite in a gorgeous old Montreal building. The area is fantastic with lots of funky shops and restaurants nearby. Amazing decor and lots of privacy. We had a wonderful little getaway.

Great Neighborhood, Great Hosts, Great Stay!
AMAZING! The apartment was stunning, Mio and Normand were the best hosts, and the location was perfect for us - in a charming neighborhood close to but not in the middle of the touristy stuff. 10/10 hands down. One item: There are steps inside and out. Unless that is an issue for you, Loft Jacques Cartier is outstanding.

This place is great for small family to stay in Montreal for extended amount of time. It's located in a quiet neighborhood and the setting inside is neat and cozy. Enjoy!

The space is really comfortable and you can tell that everything is in good condition. Having our own apartment - even for a short stay - was great. The neighborhood is very cute and within walking distance of grocery stores and cool bars and restaurants.

This loft is beautifully designed. I enjoyed the sheer beauty of it immensely. Only inconvenience was icey sidewalk in Montreal during an ice-snow period. Don't know if owners could do a better job of clearing. But it is GORGEOUS.

Lovely, clean, great neighborhood. Decorated amazingly! Comfortable and very efficient, yet warm and sophisticated. Close to many buses, restaurants, bars, etc. About 20 minutes from Place Des Arbres , Downtown and museums. Quiet. Charming French area. Has all needed amenities A/C, heat, fully equipped kitchen, Hugh speed WIFI, Large flat screen TV, comfortable Queen bed, small terrace, spacious. MUST be able to walk steps. Loved it!

A lovely place to stay in Montreal
All good. Just a warning that the steps up to the apartment entrance door are steep and curved. Carrying a suitcase could be a problem for some older guests.

A perfect place to stay!
I loved this place! I felt like I got to see the real Montreal and it was in a beautiful area. The apartment was nice and clean and it did just what I needed it to do. There were a lot of stairs. I was okay with that, but someone else may not do well with that. The landlord was attentive while also giving me space. I liked that a lot. I will stay here again.

It was a multilevel floor plan.So if you have mobility issue do not stay here. Otherwise it was a very nice, modern space. I could imagine staying there for a week if I could. There was easy parking as well. I stream everything. There was wifi. If you prefer, there was full cable tv access.

Stayed at the Loft Jacques Cartier in early August 2017. Wonderful location! It's close to Parc LaFontaine, bus (then subway), convenience and grocery story, laundromat and many restaurants. The loft was gorgeous!! It was clean and spacious, with modern touches. I loved the full kitchen setup. My husband and I made our breakfast each morning and enjoyed it on the little back balcony. The host lives in the building, was there to greet us and was available if needed.

Hidden gem in big city
When I booked this space, I originally thought it was just a hotel room. It is actually a small apartment, which was a great surprise. It is modernly and very tastefully decorated. I could tell it had been renovated very recently, not to mention it was spotless. In addition, the kitchen had every necessary utensil to cook a full meal, the living room had a smart TV, and there was even a small table to eat or do some work. Also, the hosts were most gracious and kind. They were available at any time for anything I might have needed and checked in with me throughout the stay. Lastly, there was a private driveway to leave my car; I felt safe leaving my car there overnight. This was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of being out and about in Montreal. I will be staying here again my next time in Montreal!

Compulsory fee for service that was not provided.
The suite was large and well equipped, parking was convenient and the host quite courteous. However, the add on daily cleaning fee was inappropriate. In a three night stay the room was untended meaning the fee was just a top up to the advertised fee. Which places accommodation in a different price bracket and in that bracket still a very nice suite but exceptional for price. Hotels.com needs to push back on the increasing number of vendors slipping on fine print extra fees. The sort by price filter is loosing meaning.

Excellent apartment, quiet/convenient location
We specifically needed to be in the Papineau/Mont-Royal area so this place was a great find. We were in the apartment 4042 which is up 2 flights of stairs. There are stairs within the apartment as well, between the bedroom and the living room and the kitchen. The bedroom is spacious with a comfortable queen bed and a balcony. The bathroom has a nice shower (no bathtub). The living room has a day bed, not a spring mattress like a sofa bed, just cushions that form a bed (Ikea I think). My friend said it was comfortable, but it's not for tall people. The living room doors can close for privacy if you have a 3rd person. The whole apartment is very clean, and new and modern. There is a full kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, oven and toaster oven. Pretty much everything you need no matter then length of your stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

I stayed 4 nights this week at Loft Jacques Cartier (suite #42) for my visit to Montreal for work. The apartment was very well maintained, tastefully decorated and very clean. Located in a very quiet neighbourhood, I was able to sleep comfortably - which is normally difficult at most business hotels at this price.
