I stayed at the Royal Hotel for a week and it was ideal in every way. Easy walk to train station, tram lines, old city, Place de la Comédie, etc. Very nice breakfasts and accommodating staff. It is a very old hotel that has been nicely updated. Very comfy bed and good air-conditioning. Nice bathroom with shower. Very clean.

Great stay in Montpellier

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great -- about as central as you could get. The staff members were friendly, and the building was charming. We really enjoyed our room, which was large, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated, but we didn't mind. We'd recommend staying here!

We were only there for a couple days, but the Royal Hotel was perfectly situated between the Comedie and La Roch train station, the staff was friendly, you could get a cappuccino there for free anytime in the afternoon if you need to pick me up, and there are just a wealth of cultural and dining options nearby. Love this experience!

An ideal hotel in the centre of Montpelier. It combines tradional elegance with superb modern accommodation and facilities. The staff are especially friendly and hospitable. Definitely stay here.

Really great hotel right in the heart of Montpellier, surprisingly quiet given the location, easy walking distance between the train station and the heart of the city. The staff very friendly and aside from the bathrooms which really need updating, the room was big and comfortable.

The location was very convenient as it is very close to the train station and to the Place de la Comédie. The personal was very nice. The only negative was that the bathroom is a bit outdated and the shower head was not clean.
