Great Place for Our Mini Vacation

Clean and comfortable home in a nice quiet location. Perfect place for us to stay with friends during our visit to the area. Close to wineries and Watkins Glen State Park.

Quiet comfort

Home base for Watkins Glen and wine trail

The property is a great home base for accessing Watkins Glen and the Seneca Lake wine trail. It was clean and comfortable for our family, and the hot tub was a nice bonus after a day of hiking. Would definitely recommend this place for exploring the area.

Home Base

A very nice home base to explore the Watkins Glen and finger lakes areas. The trail being nearby was nice as we could bike when the weather cooperated. The property was clean and well appointed. We would stay again if we were in the area.

Perfect stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay and Rich and Rebekah were very responsive and helpful. The location is just minutes from Watkins Glen , close to wineries and restaurants. The property was just as described - modern and clean. We really enjoyed the hot tub and its ease of use! Hope to visit again!

Great location, great property to enjoy Finger Lakes

This property was perfect for 2 couples. Features included split floor plan, modern, comfortable furnishings, well-appointed kitchen, and location close to Watkins Glen. The 6-person hot tub was a great bonus, which we really enjoyed after some great hikes in the region.

Beautiful and peaceful getaway

The property felt like home from the minute we arrived to the unfortunate task of having to leave. My wife and I loved the location, so close to town and attractions but far enough away to only hear the sounds of nature.

Great Location, with lots to do within a few miles!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to the local waterfalls of Montour Falls. Really easy to get into Watkins Glen and super close to wineries. We really enjoyed the convenience of the location. The house was nice and clean and lots of great amenities. We really enjoy the hot tub after long hikes!

AWESOME TRIP

We had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse❤️. Five people two kids And a whole Lotta fun! Very relaxing while being near the NASCAR race, track and enjoying breweries and nature. We got a bit of everything! The house was just perfect. Everything we needed and more the owners were easy to reach and answered all my questions.. Five stars easy looking forward to our next trip

Great Location

The property feels so secluded, but it was only a 10-15 minute drive from all the places we were headed during our trip. Montour Falls and Watkins Glen were both such cute little towns and we happened to be there during the Fall Festival! Richard and Rebekah were great hosts. The property was better than we imagined. The guest house is up on the hill and their main house property is beautiful to look down upon. We had a great time and will definitely consider staying here the next time I am in the finger lakes.

Clean, Well-Decorated, Many Amenities, Great Location

Excellent location to Watkins Glenn State Park and other great places for water falls, gorges and hiking. The property has many amenities including a patio, hot tub and fire pit. The guest house has enough room to spread out and the hosts stocked it up with snacks and water bottles. The bed in the master bedroom is soft (better if medium firmness in our opinion) and the very hot weather meant that the room air conditioners would kick on and off throughout the night. But that did not really bother us. We enjoyed eating at Althea's while listening to their Blues Band and dining at the Blue Pointe Grille outside on their patio overlooking Seneca Lake and their garden. Overall, we recommend this guest house.

Watkins Glen Getaway

The house was great! Well stocked. Unfortunately, there was a birds nest in the grill, so we decided not to use that. That's what happens when you're in nature though! The location of the house was perfect for our itinerary. It was just a short drive to Watkins Glen State Park. The bicycle path near the house was great as well! It's a wonderful area! Rick and Rebecca were great with communication during our 3 night stay as well. The washer and dryer were a lovely added bonus.

Lovely stay at Guesthouse at the Woodlands

My husband, adult daughter and her friend stayed at the Guesthouse for 3 nights. We were traveling to see the eclipse. The Guesthouseat the Woodlands appealed to us because of it's proximity to nice places to hike. The Guesthouse was perfect for the 4 of us. It was very clean, very well equipped and very comfortably outfitted with cozy living room furnitureThe beds were very comfortable as well. It was too chilly to spend much time sitting on the lovely porch but we did make use of the hot tub, which was great! The Guesthouse has a pathway that links to the local trail system which made it very easy, and very safe to walk into town to view the falls and/ or get a bite to eat. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others!

Perfect place for our stay in Watkins Glen

My husband, friends, and I enjoyed this cozy little house 8/3-8/7/23. Perfect for two couples. We loved that the bedrooms are located at each end of the house. Kitchen was well stocked as we cooked all breakfasts and two dinners. My favorite spot was the front porch. Perfect place for coffee in the morning and listening to nature. Beyond peaceful. Location was perfect. Close to everything but far enough away from the business of Watkins Glen. Description of house was spot on. If you stay here you won’t be disappointed. Fabulous fall stay

Two friends and myself celebrated my 60th birthday. This clean, well maintained, darling place. Offered a central area to travel by car to many out lying places to visit. In our three night stay. We visited the Corning Museum, ate at the famous Moosewood restaurant. Had a class in cooking at The NY Kitchen, spa day at Rasaspa, hiked some local falls, did wine tastings. We came back for the evenings to a camp fire and soak in the hot tub. Hanging outside on the front porch listening to the rain in the crisp air of fall. A very memorable time indeed. Thank you for creating such a haven. ❤️

Perfect Finger Lakes getaway

This place is wonderful! A private, quiet spot with a beautiful view, the house is clean and cozy, with modern appliances and a stocked kitchen. The porch has a great view, with comfy chairs and a grill nearby. And there's a hot tub! Great way to start and end the day. The owners are awesome. Great to deal with, very helpful, real fast response to questions, tons of local knowledge. They've created a mowed path on the back of the property that leads to the Catharine Valley Trail which is a beautiful walk. Super nice people. If you're planning a Finger Lakes vacation this is the place to stay! It's quiet, peaceful, private, yet close to lots of great wineries, parks, and food. Tops Market is a full grocery store not 5 minutes from the house, so you can get what you need quick and easy. And you'll pass a waterfall on the way. The Carrolls are great hosts, they'll make your stay special. We will definitely be back. Thanks!
