Family holiday

The house and grounds are well cared for with historical beauty and character, a place to remember with delight for a special family gathering of eighteen people of all ages. Swimming pool was excellent and tennis court perfect for family tennis. There were many interesting places to visit near by. Highly recommended.

Montjoie. Hateaux

Pyrenees foothills provide easy access to dramatic scenery, great cycling and walking country. The pool is very nice and the tennis court usable. The chĆ¢teau is large. It is a little dated but good space. Not luxury but good fun for a large group

Nous avons sĆ©journĆ©s une semaine dans cette magnifique demeure situĆ©e sur un vaste parc. Un groupe de familles (6 au total) avec pleins d'enfants et un espace disponible plus que gĆ©nial, les chambres sont immenses, la literie trĆØs bonne, les salle de bain parfaite, bref, rien Ć  dire, que du bon. la demeure dispose dispose d'une cuisine professionnelle, trĆØs bien Ć©quipĆ©e. La piscine est au sel, pas d'yeux qui piquent, et il y mĆŖme un cours de tennis que Thibault n'annonce plus suite au retours nĆ©gatifs de clients qui se sont plein de son Ć©tat. Certes, ce n'est pas rolland garros mais quand mĆŖme, je peux vous garantir qu'il est plus que praticable! Enfin, toutes les commoditĆ©s sont Ć  proximitĆ© sans parler des nombreuses activitĆ©s et dĆ©couvertes. Bref, au top! Merci Ć  Thibault et Ć  une prochaine! Guillaume et les copains

Topwoning!

Wij hebben deze chateau gehuurd met 18 vrienden begin juli 2018. We sliepen per twee op een kamer, allemaal met eigen badkamer. Voor het overige heeft de woning ook leuke faciliteiten, zoals een groot en mooi zwembad met voldoende ligstoelen, grote tuintafel, tennisplein, pingpong. Ook de keuken (semi-industrieel) is goed uitgerust. De woning is gelegen aan de rand van de Pyreneeƫn, waardoor de natuur om en rond het kasteel prachtig is. Op zich wel geen streek waar veel te beleven is, maar als je met een grote groep op reis bent, is dit minder essentieel. Een absolute aanrader om deze woning te huren.

I tried to cancel two months before

When my sister was dying of ovarian cancer, I cancelled this booking back in April, two months before the booking. I was hoping to get a refund on my deposit. However, even though it appears that you are alerting the owner/manager of the property, nothing gets through to them. I contacted HomeAway to let them know but they obviously didn't alert the poor owner because I am still getting notices asking if I enjoyed my holiday. So I have lost over 900 Euros and the poor man who owns the property missed out on getting the remainder of the rent for the period I would have been staying. My advice.......do NOT book with HomeAway as there is no way that you can actually have any dialogue with the owner as you do with other booking sites. I certainly will NEVER book with HomeAway again ever. I apologise profusely to the owner if he ever gets to read this. I would loved to have come to your property as it looks truly beautiful but sadly it was not to be. Kind regards Loz Copley

Tout Ć©tait parfait. L'accueil, le chĆ¢teau, les alentours, la rĆ©gion. Seul bĆ©mol le temps qui hĆ©las ne nous a pas permis de profiter pleinement de la piscine (grande et magnifique) et du terrain de tennis(en parfait Ć©tat). Le spa a Ć©tĆ© apprĆ©ciĆ© par tous. Les piĆØces sont magnifiques et le propriĆ©taire charmant. Il nous offre son chĆ¢teau et l'on se sent invitĆ©s dans la demeure familiale en toute confiance, comme des amis. L'ensemble est vaste, spacieux et la voie verte juste derriĆØre a permis aux sportifs de s'en donner Ć  coeur joie. Merci au propriĆ©taire et Ć  trĆØs bientĆ“t puisque nous y retournons avec joie l'Ć©tĆ© prochain.... Me ETCHEMENDY

Vacances insolites et magiques

Nous avons Ć©tĆ© en juillet 2011 dans ce chĆ¢teau (la date ci-dessus n'est pas juste). Vacances merveilleuses : le lieu est tellement improbable qu'il en devient inoubliable. Nous Ć©tions en famille sur deux gĆ©nĆ©rations et les enfants ont pu inviter des amis sans que cela encombre tellement qu'il y a de chambres (avec de grands lits), de salle de bain et d'espace de vie. Nous Ć©tions Ć  18 sans jamais se marcher dessus! La grande table de la salle Ć  manger est magique avec sa cheminĆ©e oĆ¹ vous pouvez vous tenir debout dedans tellement qu'elle est Ć©norme, mais magique aussi par le fait de cette grande table oĆ¹ toute la famille peut se rĆ©unir sans ĆŖtre entassĆ©, c'est rare et incroyable. Le mĆŖme plaisir se reproduit Ć  lā€™extĆ©rieur car il y a aussi une Ć©norme table pour plus de 25 personnes, oĆ¹ la cheminĆ©e est remplacĆ©e par un romantique cours d'eau qui vient lĆ©cher les berges du chĆ¢teau. On ne peut non plus laisser un avis en Ć©vinƧant la sympathie du propriĆ©taire et de la charmante dame de l'intendance qui se fait trĆØs discrĆØte et trĆØs bienveillante. Ils sont si agrĆ©ables qu'il faut insister sur ce fait aussi. Ce lieu nous manque vraiment, si l'occasion de retourner dans cette rĆ©gion se prĆ©sente, c'est assurĆ©ment lĆ -bas que nous voudrions retourner. Et si vous doutiez un instant de l'authenticitĆ© de ce tĆ©moignage, vous pouvez nous Ć©crire et je prendrai le temps de vous rĆ©pondre et de vous donner toutes mes coordonnĆ©es en Belgique pour que vous puissiez vĆ©rifiez que nous n'avons aucun lien avec le propriĆ©taire si ce n'est celui d'avoir partager les plaisirs de cet endroit incroyable.
