"Husband and I stayed for a long weekend. Loved it - would return. Spacious, incredible views, amazing huge central stone fireplace and tall ceilings both levels. Large scale original art. Lots of comfy couches. Yes random things are outdated or don’t work, but don’t let that scare you off - it’s clean. Quirky. Walked along the ocean rocks from the house all the way around the point to Ocean Beach. Sea glass at the beach. Trail from the driveway through the woods to Cunner Rock Road. Went to a concert at the Opera House. "
Century-old oceanfront home with wraparound porch - walk downtown, dogs OK
10/10 Excellent
"We loved the house--it was homey and clean, and it felt like someone's actual home. So many short term rentals these days are investment properties and feel like they've been outfitted by AI--something that had a vague idea of what a human on vacation might want, but no actual human experience. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the things we needed, the livingroom was cozy and all the furniture was comfortable. Sitting on the warm rocks down by the beach was lovely, and there are SO many great places to walk nearby. We highly recommend the Appalachee Preserves, which are just a short walk away. We ate out at Ports of Italy and the Thistle Inn and both were delicious. We had a great visit and would definitely stay here again. "
"This was an end of season visit. The property, breakfast, and staff couldn’t be nicer. Sadly, pool was closed up for the season along with the restaurant. Dining options were very limited, even in town due to it being post Columbus Day."
Maine Coast House with Spectacular Ocean Views and Beach for Swimming
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful coastal home with stunning ocean views. This was our first visit, and we absolutely loved it. The large porch and multiple decks overlooking the cove offered amazing sunrises, moonlit evenings, and gorgeous sunsets. The property feels private, even with neighboring homes nearby. Check-in was easy, and communication with our host, Maggie, was excellent and prompt. We enjoyed walking the trails down to the beach to watch the lobster boats from the rocky shore. The home was very clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed to prepare and enjoy meals. It’s clearly a well-loved, casually comfortable home that made us feel welcome. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Maggie, we hope to return!"
