"Loved it ! The hotel was conveniently located near the train station, as we wanted to visit Rome everyday.
The hotel has a shuttle bus ( at a price, so ask) to the train station. They can also arrange a taxi to drop and pick you up at anytime from the train station..10€ . Its a 15 minute walk, if the weather is cool.
Plenty of free parking space reserved for the hotel. You can request for it when booking. The staff are amazing! They spoke English and were very helpful!
We booked the only...
"Excellent staff, very clean and comfortable room, amazing outdoor garden and pool area that you rarely have to share with others. Would highly recommend, especially for traveling couples!"
"Nice place to stay far away from Rome. Excellent host and had a kitchen with entirely everything to use. I loved the Italian coffee she made for me and she did not hesitate to make it for me many times. Snacks was always around and she was an excellent host. "
"The hotel is OK just for 1 night stay. It's like approximately 30 minutes from the tourists attractions in Rome.
Hotel is very outdated and needs a renovation especially the bathroom. "

We booked the only room available on Expedia, twin room..but when we arrived they gave us a double room. Very thankful for that. The hotel is quiet. The room is modern, dark curtains but the sunlight comes in through the sides, wasnt a big deal as we are early wakers anyway. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked well, and even when we got back in the room, it was cool. Modern bathroom, toiletries available, plenty of towels. Fantastic shower water pressure!
Tv had English news channels. A fridge. A telephone.
No kettle.
They told us there is nothing to do..or see in town.
A supermarket nearby.
A big shoe shop.
And a Chinese shop that sells Everything!!
McDonald's is 4 minutes drive away.
A few outlet shops a drive away..like Euronics.
30 minutes by train to Rome.
Book at the station at the ticket machine. Very easy, many languages.
Always ask anyone there which platform to Rome! As it keeps changing and the announcements are only in Italian. Everyone is helpful there. "
WONDERFUL FARMHOUSE " IL CASALE DEL GELSO" NEAR ROME AND THE SEA.
10/10 Excellent
"We had the pleasure of spending a few days at Casale del Gelso last week. It would be impossible to overstate the quality, cleanliness, charm and attention to detail the host puts into the house and the guests.Firstly, the house was impeccably clean, each room is an ensuite, the common area is delightful and the kitchen well-equipped. It was perfect for a large family like ours to share with the perfect mix of privacy and communal living within the space. The decor is light and airy and very homey. The outdoor spaces are fantastic. Clearly avid gardeners, the back garden is like a series of inviting little rooms. There are many different seating areas, but the patio immediately off of the back is accessible to the house and we spent several very enjoyable nights eating and drinking and grilling there. The owners made sure the hot tub was ready for us to use and their attention to detail and to our comfort and satisfaction was truly amazing. What a perfect Italian country retreat. The immediate property is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The views are spectacular.A few notes: definitely make sure you have cars for everyone because it is not really walkable. Even the train into Rome is far enough away that one needs to drive to it. The nearby towns are very charming and Lake Nemi is very pretty.I recommend Casale del Gelso wholeheartedly and would give it six stars if I could."

This B&B and the hosts were absolutely amazing. They deserve 5 stars for their beautiful villa as well as their efforts to make sure you have everything that you need when staying with them.
The breakfast included cold cuts, ciambelloni, tortas, nuts, breads, juices, coffee, yogurts, fruits, milk, biscotti, pastries and more. They even made eggs for my wife who is on a restricted diet.
Our room was incredibly clean and cozy. None of the fixtures or furniture were worn or shabby and in the evening we could sit on our balcony and look out over the countryside.
The owners Sandro and Anna were incredibly kind and informative. They love what they do and they make their guests feel like family or old friends. Sabrina, Martina and Giordano were also incredibly kind and helpful. They made our stay near Castelli Romani as beautiful and relaxing as one could hope.
The area is quiet and nestled between Velletri and Genzano di Romano near many farms and villas. Taking a trip to Castelli Romani (Lago di Nemi & Lago Albano) is very quick and easy, as are trips to Aprilia, Anzio and Nettuno.
This is a must stay B&B. When we are back in the region, there is no doubt that we will stay at Casale Ansamagi.
