    Der Möhnesee, liebevoll auch das "Westfälische Meer" genannt ist flächenmäßig die größte Talsperre im Sauerland und ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Rund 40 Kilometer Uferlänge lädt ein zum Sonnenbaden, Rad fahren, Wandern und zu Wassersportaktivitäten aller Art. Wer auf Aal, Flussbarsch, Hecht, Zander, Wels u.v.m. Lust hat, der kann sein Anglerglück hier am Möhnesee versuchen. Angler sind herzlich willkommen. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, u.a. der Bismarckturm, die Kanzelbrücke, die Staumauer am Möhnesee, der Wildpark Völlinghausen liegen in naher Entfernung zur Ferienwohnung.  Frisch duftende Brötchen, Brot und Backwaren, einen "Tante Emma Laden" ist in etwa   1000 Schritten zu erreichen. WLAN und TV- Anschluss ist vorhanden. Im Keller befindet sich eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner. Gasgrill lädt zum Entspannen und Genießen ein. Wer möchte, der kann sich im angrenzenden Bauerngarten seine Bio Gewürze selbst abernten. Weitere wichtige Hinweise: Für die Benutzung der Waschmaschine und Trockner beträgt die Gebühr 5,00 EUR pro Vorgang. Gas für den Grill und auch Holzscheide für ein Kaminfeuer kann nach Absprache gegen tagesübliche Preise bei der Gastgeberin bestellt werden.
