My daughters and I came in to town for a short trip and concert, our stay at the house was comfortable and very spacious. I would definitely stay at this location again.
Overall, this place was clean and comfortable (including the beds) if a bit worn. You have basic dishes and cooking supplies, but with a few inexpensive upgrades (add toaster, handmixer, a couple more kitchen utensils) it could be even better. The Roku tv was much appreciated. The location was convenient for our purposes. Moe, the property manager, was great.
Nice and clean. We enjoyed this Vrbo stay with the one exception of the toilet being hard to access. Its location is so close to the sink cabinet that it’s hard to be comfortable going to the bathroom. Other than that one issue, we enjoyed this rental.
The details of the listing does not include the fact that this is a 4-unit facility. From photos it is put forward as a stand alone home and there is nothing in the description to say otherwise. There is paint peeling from the walls, the toilet faces the vanity in the bathroom and if you are taller than 5’6” you have to sit sideways on the toilet. Also the property has poison ivy that I came in contact with while walking my dog.
I just completed a 2 night stay of this property. I had high hopes and really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately it fell short. I will not go into all the details of the issues as I believe some will not be ongoing issues, and were resolved during out stay. During any kind of stay, any issues that arise put a damper on your trip, especially when you have children with you. I will say that the location was great, easy to get to and fairly close to places we wanted to visit. The property itself is very spacious, making our stay with 2 adults and 5 children very comfortable, space-wise. The kitchen was lacking some needed items, ie only 2 forks in the entire place but all 7 of us needed to eat. The bathroom is tight! If you are taller than around 5'5", you will probably be pretty uncomfortable on the toilet unless you sit sideways. Although there is a tub/shower combo, there is no way to plug the tub for children, so showers only. The a/c unit works, but seemed to have trouble keeping up in the hot summer days, it ran constantly and never dipped below 74 degrees in the house until well after 10pm. All this being said, the beds were some of the most comfortable that I've ever slept in at a rental property, so that was super nice. All in all, if I HAD to stay here again, I probably would, but would be prepared for the known issues but it probably would not be my first choice if I were returning to the area.
Very old place, recently updated, but still very old, windows frozen or paired shut, but just as well as it’s on a busy street with traffic noise. The roof leaked during overnight rain storm, luckily just missing my iPad charging on night stand. Cleanliness was good.
We enjoyed our stay in Mobile. It was easy to get downtown and to the island. We had a wonderful dinner at Hummingbird Way. Watch out exiting drive if you have a car with low clearance.
