"Although it was not easy to drive to the resort from Dar es Salaam (especially with our RAV4), our family had a wonderful stay there and is definitely willing to go back there. "We stayed at Gold Zanzibar for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! We booked a garden villa and it was so spacious, and the private plunge pool was very fun to have. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our butler, Jackeline, was so helpful and friendly! They also gifted us a bottle of champagne and fruit on our arrival which was so nice. There are shows with dinner every night which are really wonderful, and the buffet options are PHENOMENAL! We had a full body wrap and massage at the spa which was lovely, and went on a spice tour and sunset dhow cruise organized through the hotel which were fabulous! The hotel also gifted us a private romantic dinner on the beach and the sunset dhow cruise as honeymoon gifts which was very generous. The beach is beautiful, and it is so nice to have the private cabanas as where the public portion of the beach starts can be a bit hectic and crowded. Highly recommend staying here!"

"We honeymoon’ed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance.
Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon.
The rooms were good - had everything you need including bug nets! Staff would also spray the room in the evening to keep bugs away which was greatly appreciated.
The view of the beach was great and we didn’t have any issues getting a beach chair to sit on at any time of the day.
