Amanohashidate Hotel

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (290)
"We stayed in a Japanese/western room with our family of five for two nights. The window view of the sand bar, pines, birds, and water was stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. My family was very happy. Delicious miso soup and excellent fresh tofu. We went to the onsen (hot bath) every night. It was a great introduction to it for my kids. My children all wanted to stay longer. The town does close early. Make your dinner reservations early at the hotel if you...

Ryokan Sakamotoya

2.5 star property
7.4 out of 10, Good, (25)
"really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day. Staff was super friendly and there was a music venue right next door, although we had other things we wanted to do so we weren't able to go. The only issue we had was the pillows are a lot stiffer than what we're used to so it was...

Taikyourou

4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (60)
"Lovely decorated ryokan, but no lift to the rooms. Rooms were very nicely equipped even though it was not large. My room windows faced the river with the “rotating” bridge over the river to Amanohashidate, the view was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, next to the area’s main attraction. Some shopping on the road leading to ryokan, the Kaiseki meals were well presented. Delicious meal even with the ingredients not top grade."

Auberge Amanohashidate

2.5 star property
7.6 out of 10, Good, (262)
"Excellent place to walk around Amanohashidate. It is just beside the
sea
, and around the important tourist areas. For the price, it was OK. The thing I didn't like was no toilet inside the room! So if you have to go to Number 2, you have to wait because there is only one "throne" available. Breakfast was amazing! Dinner was very tiny, expensive, and without any good taste. "
